Last Thing Watched:
Cabinet des Dr. Caligari, Das [Robert Wiene] (1920)

Although the film is acclaimed for being the first 'horror' movie to ever hit the screens,
I don't think just because it was the first makes it anymore excellent by any means.
The story is fairly interesting and the script is pretty solid, but even with a good idea a
film can still be very repugnant. I was hoping for captivation and unfortunately, I
didn't receive that thrill. Werner Krauss delivers a fantastic performance that is
nothing short of excellent, but this is the films only outstanding quality.**½/****
