At a fund-raiser for a children's hospital, the husband of the husband-wife team running the charity affair is shot and falls from his balcony on to a big ice statue where he's impaled. The bullet would have killed anyway, not falling on the ice, but it gives the writers a chance to use a few poor puns before the dramatic "Who" song opening.
Suspects include everyone at the party, which means a lot of people and particularly the owner of the murder weapon, the gun being left at the crime scene. Of course the weapon "was stolen" a few years ago, says the playboy-suspect. Do you notice how many times the first suspect always says the murder weapon was stolen? "Hey, it's not mine," we hear over and over again each episode. Also, these guns are never reported stolen, either.
The episode turns out to have a very, very interesting twist. The headline to the episode, "Triple Threat," hints at what that twist involves, as we see a surprise twin sister and then, a third sister! Actress Leslie Bibb plays all three sisters:Beth, Cayla and Ashley
Those women think they put something over on their husband but an even better twist develops on them. Good stuff and clever writing.
