Plot:

In the pilot we meet all of the characters, at Mary Alice young's funeral. Lynette's sons get in trouble by jumping into the pool, Susan tries to make something to bring to the funeral, but burns her macaroni and cheese.

Trivia:

Wisteria Lane includes houses used numerous times throughout the years. Their names include the "Hardy Boys House", the "Leave it to Beaver House", the "Providence House", and the "Animal House". It has been incorrectly thought that these houses were the original neighborhood for "Leave it to Beaver". But this is impossible as the houses aren't anywhere near where they once stood in the 1950s. They have been moved and re-arranged and even destroyed and re-built numerous times since they were first bought by the city of Los Angeles which was going to destroy them to make way for Dodger Stadium.

Goofs:

Crew or equipment visible: When Bree waters the flowers in the bathroom of the hospital, there is the shadow of the camera man visible behind her.

I loved this episode! I bought the Desperate Housewives box, but i had only seen one episode. So i sat down and watched the first episode (pilot) and laughed so much! My favorite character is Lynette (Felicity Hauffman). She was so funny! I also loved all the other characters; Susan (Teri Hatcher), Bree (Marcia Cross), and the other girls and boys. Bree was such a cool woman, when everything had to be perfect. And Susans food was a great sequence! Lynette was a great woman who had so many children's (i loved went in the pool at the funeral). How can i say this... Well, great episode with great actresses. Many quick and funny lines and it felt good. I'm looking forwards to the other episodes!
