Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Two teenagers kiss briefly.

Violence & Gore

A lot of violence for a PG movie.

There are sword fights, graphic battles, and a lingering fight scene between 2 characters shot up close on-camera; mice slit men's throats (no blood); a man holds a sword to another man's throat and blood trickles down the man's neck and top part of his chest; people are struck with arrows (little blood); a man gets his head lopped off, but there's no blood and it's not graphic.

A man is forced to kill three of his soldiers (it is implied, so nothing is shown).

It should be noted that children are shown in active melée combats, a factor that could be a little disturbing for some viewers.

Profanity

None

A few scary looking monsters

BIG SPOILER: There is a scene in which the Narnians, Prince Caspian and the Pevensies raid Miraz's castle, but their plan goes wrong and they end up having to run, but the gate begins to close so a Minotaur jumps under it and allows most of the Narnians to escape, however he is shot at, which is pretty brutal and he ends up falling flat and getting crushed by the gate; you see the rest of the Narnians still locked in, screaming and desparate to escape but they are all killed; we don't see them actually die, but we later see their dead bodies scattered across the courtyard (no gore is shown); this scene is rather intense for a PG movie.

It should be noted that by most standards, this movie merits a PG-13 rating rather than a PG one, based on violence as well as thematic material; the film is, for the most part, bloodless which is most likely why it didn't get the PG-13 rating.

In the beginning of the movie, soldiers surround a bed in the middle of the night and all shoot at the bed, intending to kill its occupant (who luckily is not in the bed, but hiding in a closet watching this).

Some of the evil creatures may seem frightening to younger children.
