Check out the photo above for what may be a huge 30 Rock spoiler! Nothing is confirmed, but Alec Baldwin recently talked to my fellow E! News correspondent Ashlan Gorse on the red carpet at an Elle event, and revealed that he is getting a new love interest later this season. Baldwin, who was just announced as cohost of this year's Oscars with Steve Martin, wouldn't name names, but he did give us a hint: "I won't say who it is, but someone very near to us who may be coming on to play my girlfriend for four episodes." Well, we tallied up all the attractive ladies in the vicinity of Alec on the red carpet—contenders included Renée Zellweger, Becki Newton, Emily Blunt, Diane... »

Ready for the latest twist in the incredibly wild and unpredictable career of one James Franco? Sources confirm to me exclusively that the movie-star actor will follow up his upcoming arc on General Hospital with a guest appearance on 30 Rock. NBC declined to comment, but a Rock solid insider tells me that Franco (playing himself) will be involved in a faux romance with Jane Krakowski's Jenna — a relationship arranged by their respective agents. Sound familiar? It's probably because this is the storyline Tina Fey floated by me at the Emmys way back in September. " into a high-profile relationship with »

Comedienne Tina Fey cornered Whoopi Goldberg on U.S. TV on Thursday to entice her back onto hit comedy 30 Rock.
Fey made an appearance on The View, the talk show the Ghost star co-hosts, and presented the idea to a surprised Goldberg.
The Oscar winner previously made a cameo on 30 Rock in 2007, and Fey is so keen to have her return to the programme, she's already written the script for Goldberg's next guest spot.
Fey said, "Who we're hoping to get back on the show this year is Whoopi. There's a spot for you if you wanna come back? I'm putting the pressure on you on live TV!
"There's an episode coming up where (main character) Tracy (Morgan) wants to win an Egot, which is an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony (award) and Whoopi has done that in real life so he's seeking your advice in how to do that."
Goldberg, who was taken aback by the offer, admitted she'd welcome negotiations, responding, "Well, let's make some time and talk."
Goldberg is one of only 10 Hollywood stars who have achieved all four top accolades throughout their career - others include Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks and John Gielgud. »

Tina Fey's 30 Rock and hit U.S. TV series Mad Men stole the show at the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, receiving top honours at Sunday's event.
30 Rock creator Fey and co-stars Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan claimed their third consecutive trophy for Outstanding Comedy Series, while Mad Men was a repeat winner for Outstanding Drama Series.
Fey's series was an Emmy favourite, landing a whopping 22 nominations in 2009 after stealing the show at last year's ceremony.
Baldwin defended his title as the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, although Fey failed to secure a second win for Outstanding Lead Actress after United States Of Tara's Toni Collette took home the prize.
The funnywoman later redeemed herself after 30 Rock beat out Entourage, Family Guy, Flight of the Conchords, How I Met Your Mother and The Office to reclaim the prize for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Thanking her patient cast and crew, Fey said: "That was a real nail biter... I want to thank the family and loved ones of all the people who work on the show... for almost four years now."
Another repeat winner, actress Glenn Close, claimed victory for her lead role on TV drama Damages for the second year running.
Meanwhile, veteran actress Jessica Lange was gracious after her name was called for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role in TV movie Grey Gardens.
The 60 year old praised co-star Drew Barrymore for helping to reignite her career: "This part was a gift and they don't come around that often for me anymore... and above all (I thank) the other half, Drew Barrymore, for her extraordinary talent, for her brilliance, for her determination."
The spectacular ceremony, held at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, also featured a performance from Sarah McLachlan, who paid tribute to recently deceased entertainers with a rendition of her ballad I Will Remember You.
This year's show was hosted by How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, who opened with a song and dance number. Harris ended his musical routine with a light-hearted jab at MTV Video Music Award stage invader Kanye West, warning nominees to keep an eye on celebrities looking to crash their acceptance speeches.
Harris joked, "Here's hoping Kanye West likes 30 Rock."

Comedian Tracy Morgan is grateful to have overcome his battle with alcoholism because it's given him a second chance at becoming a better father.
The 30 Rock star struggled with his addiction for years, but after two arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2005 and 2006, he was forced to tackle his substance abuse head on.
Morgan has now been sober for 18 months but he admits it's a daily battle to stay clean.
He says, "I've been sober for a year-and-a-half now, and I feel it all. I'm not inebriated anymore. I want to feel the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to remember it all. I couldn't do that when I wasn't sober. What I have learned over the years is to try to stay in the moment. I want to feel it all because I've realised nothing lasts. I'm not perfect but I strive for it. I take it one day at a time, but if you can get it to one hour at a time, I'm good."
And he credits his three sons - Gitrid, 23, Malcolm, 21, and Tracy, Jr., 17, with ex-wife Sabrina - with giving him the motivation to kick his habit.
Morgan tells People.com, "I deal with my sons like young men. If they have a problem with something, they come to me. I am the type of dad that will drop everything I am doing for them, and always tell them to talk to me about it. I'm not (as) crazy as you'd think. They have grown to be respectable young men that (sic) are funnier than I could ever be." »

It was the worst week ever during a regular season for NBC last week as its programs averaged just 4.4 million viewers in primetime, according to Nielsen Research. Indeed, as the Associated Press pointed out, no network has ever drawn so few viewers outside the "summer doldrums" of June, July, August and early September. NBC registered fewer viewers in August 2007, but it is likely that it had previously never drawn such a small audience since the early days of television, AP observed. NBC did face heavy competition from the likes of Fox's season-finale episodes of American Idol and ABC's Dancing With the Stars. But there was little to account for the network's tumble on other nights. It's Friday-night Howie Do It drew just 2.3 million viewers, and even its highly touted 30 Rock could attract no more than 2.8 million. Its highest-rated show was the aging Law & Order: SVU, which came in at No. 23 on the Nielsen list with 6.9 million viewers. By contrast, NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams averaged 7.4 million viewers for the week -- more than watched any NBC primetime show. For the week, Fox topped the list (thanks primarily to American Idol) with an average 5.9 rating and an 11 share. CBS placed second with a 5.7/10. ABC followed with a 4.7/8, while NBC trailed with a 3.0/5.
The top ten shows of the week according to Nielsen Research:1. American Idol (Wednesday), Fox, 16.1/27; 2. American Idol (Tuesday), Fox, 13.5/22; 3. Dancing With the Stars (Tuesday), ABC, 12.6/20; 4. Dancing With The Stars (Monday), ABC, 12.2/20; 5. The Mentalist, CBS, 10.4/16; 6. NCIS, CBS, 10.3/17; 7. Two and a Half Men, CBS, 9.9/15; 8. CSI: Miami, CBS, 8.9/15; 9. Criminal Minds, CBS, 8.7/14; 10. Rules of Engagement, CBS, 7.9/12. »

Actress/comedienne Tina Fey has enlisted her three-year-old daughter to help write her Emmy-winning U.S. TV show 30 Rock.
The series - starring creator Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski - won top prizes including the Outstanding Comedy Series award at last year's ceremony.
And her co-star Krakowski has revealed the secret weapon to Fey's award-winning dialogue - the star's toddler, Alice.
Krakowski tells the New York Daily News, "Some of the great catchphrases of 30 Rock have come from Alice. Like, 'I want to go to there!' - that's Alice. It's so funny because I hear people say it on the street, and that was (Tina's) daughter!
"There are other things that Alice came up with as well, like 'normal sauce' and 'crazy putty'. These words are 30 Rock vocabulary. They're hilarious - and they're all Alice!" »

Alec Baldwin will travel all the way to Vietnam to perform one of his first radio broadcasts for the New York Philharmonic orchestra.
Music director Alan Gilbert named the actor as the voice of the orchestra's radio programme in January, with music enthusiast Baldwin admitting it was his "dream job".
But the 30 Rock star was stunned when he learned he was being whisked away to the capital city of Hanoi to join the orchestra's tour for the Inside the Music programme, which kicks off on 10 October.
Baldwin says, "They called me the other day and said, 'Do you want to go on a portion of the tour or only one of the shows?'
"There would be a live component that I would narrate. And they said, 'You're going to go to Hanoi.' And I said, 'I'm sorry, what did you say?'
"I refused to believe I was going to go to Hanoi with them. And I am going to go to Vietnam with them and do the show in October." »

Not only did Jay Leno acknowledge that he'll be up against killer shows when he debuts with his nightly variety hour in the fall, but he predicted that people, weary of all the murders in the 10:00 p.m. hour will gravitate towards his show to escape all the crime dramas on the other networks. In a lengthy video promo prepared for a screening at NBC's upfront presentations in New York Monday (and now posted online), Leno assures his viewers that while his competitors are up to committing more mayhem, he'll be up to the same schtick he has been crafting on the Tonight show for 17 years. After showing the Leno video, NBC sales chief Mike Pilot went on to assure advertisers that Leno is "advertiser friendly" and that "he's not afraid to experiment with live commercials." The network also announced that returning shows next season will include: Heroes, Law & Order: SVU, Parks & Recreation, Southland, 30 Rock, The Office, The Biggest Loser, Friday Night Lights and a series of half-hour "Weekend Updates" from Saturday Night Live. Among new shows, NBC unveiled Parenthood, based on the 1989 Ron Howard movie, Jerry Seinfeld's The Marriage Ref, hospital dramas Mercy and Trauma, and Community, starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase. Conspicuous by their omission from the line-up were Medium, Chuck, My Name Is Earl, and Law and Order. Any one of those shows could receive a reprieve, network executives said Monday, when the complete lineup is announced on May 19. The network indicated that it would like to have input from advertisers about shows that are "on the bubble." »

Actress Salma Hayek skipped her honeymoon with new husband Francois-henri Pinault - flying straight back from her Paris, France nuptials to shoot TV show 30 Rock.

Series creator Fey adds, "(Hayek) spent her honeymoon working with us! She told me, 'You must go the parties with me and elope! You must party with me!'"

The sprinklers set off by Tracy Morgan's apartment fire flooded the home of his neighbour and 30 Rock co-star Sherri Shepherd.
Firefighters were called to Morgan's pad on New York's Upper West Side on Wednesday morning after a bulb in the comedian's fish tank blew.
They were able to extinguish the flames and even rescue Morgan's fish - but not before the building's sprinkler system switched on, flooding the homes of those living below Morgan, including Shepherd, who plays his wife in the Golden Globe-winning show.
The comedienne was shooting U.S. talk show The View, which she co-presents, when her son called to tell her water was seeping through their ceiling - and her first concern was her huge collection of wigs.
She tells the New York Post, "I said, 'Baby get all my hair. Baby, I can't live without my hair.' My apartment is all flooded."
But she promises to forgive Morgan - as long as he pays for the damage. She adds, "I love my husband - he's my TV husband. And if any of my clothes got messed up, I'm sure Tracy will pay for them." »
