Trivia:
Plagued with horrible weather, the cast and crew had to work through a sandstorm and several inches of snow in order to finish production. moreGoofs:
Factual errors: During the entire movie at specific points, the girl looks at a digital clock on the car. Yet we are also shown that there is no key in the car (which is why the car would not start), and in those cars digital clocks would not operate without a key in the transmission so the time could not have been showing at all times. moreFAQ

Saw Penny Dreadful at Shriekfest 2006 and was completely terrified. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was looking forward to seeing Rachel MIner whose work I have followed back in New York, she is a total thespian and her performance as Penny was particularly unforgettable. I thought the directing was very polished and the film had a great style especially the color choices which makes it extremely haunting. The girls I went to see it with were completely freaked out and we all decided the director is coming back with a sequel which we thought would be great since we're dying to know what really happens at the end. It reminded us of Hitchcock and Stephen King only edgier. Not surprised its going out in theaters, it deserves to be seen by a wide audience especially the director's skillful choices and the fabulous performance of Rachel Miner, we think she is going to be huge!
