I'm sure any of you that have watched ADJL and the two shows 'Danny Phantom' and/or 'Fairly OddParents' have noticed the similarities. Quite honestly, I believe that Jeff Goode was using Butch Hartman's two ideas. A dragon crazy teacher, boy who's half dragon, his own 'battle cry', two best friends who seem to be very similar to Sam Manson and Tucker Foley from Danny Phantom, and much much more? Does this seem fishy to you? Too many Butch Hartman fans, it is. I do not know if it is legal to use someone else's idea as a television show, but in my opinion this is a form of plagiarism. Even IF you twist the idea to be different (i.e. a boy who's half DRAGON) it is still plagiarism. Only one person that I do know seems to like the show, but out of the tons and tons of people that I know, they do not. Many would agree with me, others disagree, but you cannot tell me you don't see the similarities. One of my friends have watched it, copied down notes, and sent the similarities between it and Butch's shows to me. I'm sure it sounds like a hit with the younger kids who probably HAVEN'T watched these shows on Nickelodeon. But for the older kids watching it? Not so much. It seems that he has younger viewers interested in it-those who won't have much of a perspective on the similarities of these shows. Again, this is just my opinion, along with quite a few others.
