Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Ben says that the "C" in RICO stands for "conspiracy." In actuality, RICO stands for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Anachronisms: While the movie is set in the late 1980s, many of the cars seen in some of the outdoor scenes were not produced until the late 1990s or early 2000s. For example, in one outdoor scene before the verdict is read, a 2004/2005 Mercedes 350SC or 500SC is clearly seen.
Anachronisms: During the poker game at the boat on Day 451 of the trial, you can see a widescreen TV on the wall inside the cabin.
Miscellaneous: In the end titles "DiNorscio" is misspelled as "DiNorcio".
Factual errors: Wrong spelling of a Latin word in the inscription appearing on the front of the judge desk. The correct word is "JUSTITIA" and not "JUSTICA".
