After weeks that saw the World Series on Fox and then NBC's Sunday Night Football top the broadcast ratings for the week, a scripted show—specifically, CBS' powerhouse NCIS—was champion again for the week ending Nov. 22, after dominating for the first five weeks of the season. The Tuesday evening procedural starring Mark Harmon drew 20.3 million viewers, a full 1.5 million over the Monday edition of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, which came in second place with 18.8 million viewers. NBC's Sunday Night Football, which always performs strongly, showed up at No. 3, grabbing 17.3 million viewers for the showdown that saw the Philadelphia »

This week on Two and a Half Men, Charlie realizes that the heat has gone out of their sex life when Chelsea no longer screams "Ga" during sex (apparently, when she's finishing she can't get out the whole "God"). That's not too surprising, considering that they've been together for a while now. What is surprising are the people he'll turn to for advice...

We learned two things from this week's episode of Two and a Half Men: The writers really do seem to be stickign with this horrible Chelsea-Charlie storyline and giving us lame Charlie plotlines, but at least Alan's B Story can hold up the episode.
Luckily, Alan and his "Captain Terry's Spray-On Hair" product and horrible online dating (despite not actually seeing the dates) kept us entertained. We used to count on Charlie for the adventures in this show. Now he seems content to sleep with Chelsea, whine, and show his sensitive side. Oh yeah, that's what we signed up for.
Did we at least mention how phenomenal Berta was? She's always been one of our favorite supporting cast members, but in this episode she really shined. She was around the entire episode giving advice and scarring our minds with images of her sleeping with the water guy.

(S07E09) How far are the writers going to take the Charlie and Chelsea relationship? Do you think they're actually going to get married? I ask because tonight's show was a glimpse of what married Charlie might be like. Funny, yes, but is a domesticated Charlie really what I want to watch? Gin rummy and snoring? Charlie being sensitive and in touch with a woman's feelings? Where has my Charlie gone?
Alan, fortunately, is in exactly the same spot where he's always been. The crapper. Remember that Emmy that Jon Cryer won for Two and a Half Men in September? He may have earned a bookend with this season's work. More on his hair care products and dating services after the jump.

Is there anything that Jane Lynch can't do? The comic actress -- who some people are already declaring is a shoo-in for the Primetime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama series for Glee -- has veered into a new venue.
In addition to her television characters, Jane's brilliant performance as Sue Sylvester, her semi-regular shrink role, Dr. Freeman, on Two and a Half Men, Constance on Party Down, she's now doing commercials.
Yes, the latest triumph for La Lynch is a set of XBox 360 commercials that are all about fun.

There comes a time of the year when one has to count their blessings because, when truth is finally told, things could be a lot worse. This is that time. And what am I thankful for? Glad you asked.
Big LCD televisions that hang on the wall - I think that says it all. Of course, some day all the current display technologies will be abandoned in favor of the video waves that transmit directly to our brains, but until then there is the LCD (or plasma, depending on your technology choice) on the wall.
The Big Bang Theory - It's hard to believe that the creator of Two and a Half Men (a show of which I am not a fan) could create such a terrific show. I only discovered the show this past year. I'm usually not a fan of sitcoms but with all the geeky references in Bbt, »

NBC's Sunday Night Football franchise—which saw New England take on Indianapolis this past weekend—was on the top of the weekly ratings chart for the broadcast networks for the week ending Nov. 15, drawing 22.4 million viewers to watch the pigskin showdown. But the overall winner on the Top 20? Without question: CBS, which served up 12 of the shows in the Top 20. The No. 2 spot went to the high-performing network, as TV's top scripted show, NCIS, drew 21.0 million viewers. ABC's Dancing with the Stars was still strong, though, and landed at No. 3, with a still-distant-from-ncis 17.6 million viewers. The rest of the Top 20, however, »

Television sweeps are the best; the writers save up all the juicy storylines and make them explode during the pivotal time for networks. Sweeps Week is so important because the data that is collected by the Nielsen Rating is used by networks to set advertising costs based on their results. Because of this, many networks pull out all the stops and this year is absolutely no different. Many of the sweeps episodes have aired and later this week we will see what else the networks have in store for us, but we want to know what you think so far! CSI Trilogy: CBS took three of their most popular shows and brought fans a multiple night CSI event spanning CSI: Miami (TV), CSI: NY (TV) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (TV). The teams from each city work together to help bring down one of the largest prostitute rings and by »

So this season has been a little disappointing with Charlie's engagement to Chelsea, but last night we couldn't think of a single complaint about Two and a Half Men. The episode featuring Tricia Helfer in a sexy nightgown with Chelsea may have had something to do with it.
The episode also featured several inner monologue bits that revealed just what Charlie is thinking and to be honest it was almost as scary as it was funny. Alan took the cake though with his "Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle." thoughts, while not even saying an actual word to Gail.
However, the line of the episode went to Berta. Just check hers out and the rest of our favorite Two and a Half Men quotes:
Charlie: I gotta figure out a way to get Gail to leave on her own.
Berta: You got the perfect tool for the job.
Charlie: What are you talking about? »

(S07E08) Last week, I wasn't thrilled with the CBS Monday night sitcom schedule. In fact, I thought all four shows were a bit off, and more than a few readers thought I was off the rails for speaking my mind. Fortunately -- for me -- this week's shows were back on track and I have only good things to say. That's especially true about Two and a Half Men. Seven years into the show, an episode like this one stands out as very original and really funny.
This was also the episode in which Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer guested as Chelsea's old college roommate. That's not a spoiler; that's in the picture. More about the show -- including spoilers -- after the jump.

There was a time — like, in the era of NBC's Friends — when the post-Super Bowl spot was the most-watched telecast on broadcast television besides, well, the big game itself. (Can you believe Friends drew 52 million in its post-Bowl performance?) And while the spot isn't quite as lustrous as it once was (the American Idol finale seems to be a the lead-in du jour), let's get real: Everyone wants a piece of the nearly 100 million viewers the Super Bowl draws. So this year the Super Bowl is on CBS, and the Hollywood Reporter has identified four potentials for the plum programming: The Big Bang Theory, »

Dear Jay,
Let me start by stating that I think you are a very funny man. I have been following your career for years and you're great. You were wonderful in Jerry Maguire. Of course, you were speaking lines written by Cameron Crowe, so that was a plus, but you delivered the performance. Bravo, Jay Mohr.
That said, I have to talk to you now about Gary Unmarried. Jay, you can make this so much better. Really, you are capable of so much more. Yes, you don't have Cameron Crowe writing for you now. I'm fully aware of that. But you're there.
Gary Unmarried may have started as a formula, and it still has too much of that formula intact. The bitchy, controlling wife/ex-wife? Haven't we seen the Allison character on Two and a Half Men (Judith), Everybody Loves Raymond (Deborah), The King of Queens (Carrie)? Do you see the pattern here? »
