Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Violence & Gore

Several intense scenes of fighting and of characters being chased by wolves and other enemies, including a scene of a chase over the ice of a melting river.

A bull creature knocks Aslan to the ground and other creatures grab and tie up the lion. They then cut his mane, drag him across the stone platform, up some stairs and leave him on the altar for the White Witch. She then raises her knife and jabs it down, killing him (we don't see the impact, but do see the results on his face -- pain and then his death).

When Aslan and his reinforcements join in battle, Aslan leaps at the White Witch and pins her to the ground, then he mauls her to death - we don't see any blood or gore, as the shot is blurred and from behind.

The scene Aslan is led to execution by the White Witch, many terrifying-looking creatures cackle around and mock him. The scene (which ends in Aslan's death) is pretty intense and may frighten young children.

There are a few scenes with the White Witch that especially young children might find frightening. One in particular is a scene in which we see the fox stand in defiance of the witch. For that, she turns him to stone, with a look of fear frozen on his face - this is a somewhat startling moment in the film which might scare very young children.
