Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne is reportedly set to swap her role as a judge on reality show The X Factor for a place in the British version of Dancing With The Stars.
Osbourne recently quit her job on the TV talent competition following a series of bitter feuds with fellow judge Dannii Minogue.
The 55-year-old had been lined up to take part in hit U.S. show Dancing With The Stars last year, but was forced to pull out following surgery.
And now that Osbourne is free of her The X Factor commitments, it looks as if she will finally be able to fulfill her dream and take part in the U.K. version of the show - Strictly Come Dancing.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "At the moment she's filming America's Got Talent for Simon Cowell and she's concentrating on her U.S. TV projects.
"Early last year, Sharon was meant to appear in Dancing With The Stars but she had to pull out to have an operation. She's always wanted to do it, so what better time to put on her dancing shoes and go up against the X Factor when the shows start again in September."
Both The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing are slated to air in the U.K. in September, meaning they will go up against each for ratings in the prime time Saturday night slot.

Sharon Osbourne told Simon Cowell to fire Dannii Minogue if he wanted her to stay as an X Factor judge. Contrary to recent reports, Osbourne's former co-star and close friend Louis Walsh said that her decision to quit was not the result of a salary dispute. Instead, he revealed details of Sharon's shock ultimatum and criticised Cowell for not accepting her demand. "It's not contracts or money, it's Dannii. They don't get on at all and she wasn't happy with the situation," Walsh told the Sunday Mirror. "Sharon has walked off, she's gone. Why didn't they give Dannii the boot instead?" Walsh added that he has not yet signed up for the new series because he is "devastated" by Sharon's departure. "I (more)

Louis Walsh has admitted that he is devastated by Sharon Osbourne's decision to quit X Factor. The Irish judge said that appearing on the programme would not be as enjoyable without Sharon, who has been one of his close friends since they started working together four years ago. "The show won't be the same for me now," Walsh explained in a statement. "She was the best friend I made on the show. I'm going to miss her." Simon Cowell (more)

Sharon Osbourne quit The X Factor after Itv chiefs refused to give her a £1 million pay rise, it was claimed today. It was previously thought that Osbourne had left the show after being denied a £500,000 salary increase. However, today's Mirror suggests that this was offered to Sharon, who turned the deal down because she was hoping for double the amount to be added to her salary. Such an increase would have brought her X Factor pay packet to (more)

If you’re a die hard VH1/Rock of Love fan and you think you’ve seen it all, think again. Just when we all thought that there will be no more drama, no more Rock of Love 3, VH1 hits us up with yet another crazy reality series with a twist. The network recently announced that they’re bringing back the craziness of Charm School, this time with a little Rock vibe to it. In fact, the new show entitled Rock of Love Girls: Charm School follows the previously released Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School series. The show starred Mo’Nique as the headmistress to the 14 former Flavor of Love contenders. Now, we have one very familiar face in the realm of reality TV to pick up the title of headmistress for Rock of Love Girls: Charm School.

Sharon Osbourne will only take part in the next series of talent competition The X Factor if her salary is doubled, according to reports.
The rock matriarch, a judge on the British reality programme since it began in 2004, has turned down TV bosses' offer of $1.5 million (GBP750,000) and is said to be demanding a new contract, worth $2 million (GBP1 million).
A source at TV network Itv tells British newspaper the News Of The World, "Sharon always pushes for the best deal."
It was reported last year the series creator Simon Cowell was set to fire Osbourne following her scathing attack on fellow judge Dannii Minogue, who joined the show in its fourth season.

Dannii Minogue has blasted Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh for their attempts to "bully" her on the set of The X Factor.
The Aussie singer admitted that she struggled to cope with Sharon and Louis's treatment of her when she joined the ITV1 talent series last year.
"I was so happy just to be happy when I got that job," Dannii told Celebs on Sunday magazine. "And then I found myself having to find a lot of strength to get through the day. I remember the first day I was like a scared mouse, especially when I realised Sharon had some personal mission against me. It grew as the show went on, and I still to this day have no idea why.

Kiss star Gene Simmons has refused to enter into a war of words with Sharon Osbourne after the rock matriarch called him "a silly man in a silly wig," insisting he loves Ozzy's bride.
Osbourne made her disparaging public remark about Simmons during her husband's recent Australian tour.
She said, "Gene's a prat. He's just a silly man in a silly wig."
But Simmons hasn't taken offence because, for him, Sharon's charm lies in her outspoken nature.
He tells British magazine Classic Rock, "Sharon is terrific. She's great. I've known Sharon and Ozzy for 30 or more years, and some of it. well, you know Sharon. Some of it is bluster. Because it makes great copy.
"Ozzy was touring at the same time as Kiss. He was playing the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, and the night before or the night after we played outdoors at the Formula One car-racing grand prix.
"I was quite cool with what Sharon said. I mean, part of it was that there was so much media attention for Kiss.
"I honestly didn't know Ozzy was in town. Until Sharon delivered that soundbite, that is. That was the first I knew about it. 'He's a tw*t, he wears women's clothing,' whatever it was she said.
"That's cool. It's edgy. I love that."

Kelly Osbourne has lashed out at the Spice Girls for showing off their kids onstage.
The outspoken reality TV star, whose own mother and father Sharon and Ozzy have often come under fire for their parenting skills, has offered her own family tips.
The 23-year-old admits she admires Gwyneth Paltrow's celebrity parenting, but the Spice Girls are at the bottom of her list.
She explains, "I respect Gwyneth Paltrow because she covers her babies' faces - she never lets the paparazzi get that picture.
"I'm not going to put the Spice Girls down, but they took their kids on stage at every single show of that last tour of theirs.
"To be a child of three and have 25,000 girls screaming at you - I don't think that's necessarily good."

As with every Tuesday episode of Big Brother 9, tonight's episode was mostly a bore-fest. James and Chelsia reacted unfavorably to being nominated, vowing vengeance against Adam. The rest of this episode followed various alliances and contingency plans in case James, the true target, was able to wriggle himself free from being nominated.
PoV Competition
Big Brother 8's Dick Donato shows up to wake up the HGs by banging together pots and pans. He invites them outside for the PoV competition, a copy of one last season where they must drink 10 disgusting shots in 3 minutes, getting one croquet shot per beverage.
James is the only one man enough to drink all the shots, and therefore, he wins the veto. Somehow, bringing back Dick resulted in a relatively boring competition.
Joshuah + Ryan = Forever
With James taking himself off the block, Joshuah and Sharon realize one of them is guaranteed to go up.

Evel Dick Donato makes his triumphant return to the Big Brother house on Tuesday to host a very special Power of Veto competition. Dick, the winner of Big Brother 8, is the perfect love him or hate him kind reality TV contestant. Personally, I've always supported the evil reign of Mr. Donato. Last season, he basically intimidated the Big Brother house into handing him $500,000. Whether you liked him or not, you had to admit that Dick made things exciting in the house. While Dick's Power of Veto competition won't air on Big Brother until tomorrow night, it's already been filmed (TV is magic!) and we know the results. Click below if spoilers are something you're interested in.
Spoiler Warning!!! Do You Hate Spoilers? Then Go Away!!!
The PoV competition was called “Club Evel.” In the first part of the competition, Dick acts as bartender and gives out shots of his own creation from behind a bar.

Adam may be smarter than he looks. Or acts. Upon winning the Head of Household competition last Wednesday, Adam immediately expressed his dissatisfaction with doing so. He wanted nothing to do with all the expectations that being Head of Household brings. Truthfully, he's on to something. Will Kirby, the greatest Big Brother player of all time, was openly against ever winning HoH. It turns you into a target and it automatically creates enemies – no matter what, someone you nominate will be in the game the following week. Tonight, Adam made his nominations and Big Brother kindly aired a ten-minute, in-episode commercial for a new Hollywood movie.
Natalie, Natalie, Natalie
As per the omnipresent Big Brother promos of the last week, we focused on Natalie quite a bit tonight. Her separation from Matt was hard on her and despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Natalie believes that Matt is her soul

If I'm correctly gaging the Big Brother fan base (and I think I am), Big Brother 9 has been something of a disappointment. These things happen, and I don't blame CBS or Allison Grodner. This season was something of a throw-away from the start, rushed into production thanks to the writers' strike. Since Big Brother was playing with house money (sort of), they decided to experiment with the couples twist. I, like many out there, thought the partners idea was a sound one. Unfortunately, it really mucked up the game play and didn't allow for the usual strategy that Big Brother house guests are used to. Reality show contestants generally base their game play (and overall behavior) on what they've seen on previous seasons. Just look at Survivor – every staple of game play was set during the show's first season. Without history to look back on and facing an entirely different set of rules,

Big Brother 9 has picked up the intensity as of late, mostly thanks to the greatest moment of the season – Matt crying after he was back doored during the Power of Veto ceremony. That was just spectacular. With Matt and his arrogant, scheming ways out of the house, the competition is up in the air. Things will change, as Natalie will now have to fend from for herself and, hopefully, bust out of her Matt-worshiping ways. It makes it simpler that the Big Brother house is split into two distinct factions – the Alliance of Pairs (Joshuah/Sharon and Chelsia/James) and the Alliance of Miscellany (Ryan, Natalie, Sheila and Adam). Umm...the Alliance of Miscellany is a temporary name until we come up with something better. Who knows – maybe it'll stick.
#8 – Natalie
I just think Natalie is going to be too distraught with Matt's departure to do much in the rest of the game.

It really was James' week on Big Brother 9. As if getting the chance to come back into the house mere minutes after being evicted wasn't enough, then he had to go and win Head of Household. Then he won the Power of Veto. Then he wouldn't rest until he discovered who the three people that didn't vote to bring him back were.
Tonight, James' reign came to an end on Big Brother, but not before getting one last moment of total power. Matt cried, Natalie continued to pine over a man she will never get, Sheila continued to play the game well, and we got to catch up on where Big Brother 8 winner Dick Donato and his daughter Daniele are. Unfortunately, the answer isn't “not on my TV screen.”

One week ago today, James was evicted from the Big Brother house. Then he got to come back in, won HoH, put up two people who didn't want him back, won PoV, and backdoored the man who lied about wanting him James back in the house. Overall, it was a good week for James, made even better by the fact that he prolongs the time he doesn't know that we all know about his gay porn past. When he finally gets out of the house and realizes his secret is out, it's going to be a hard pill to swallow.
Tonight, the ironically fabulous Julie Chen is back for the eviction of either Matt or Ryan. Seeing as how Big Brother's last two evictions didn't fully take, I wonder if this week will be any different.
Oh God, the "previously on" package begins with James being evicted.

Another week of Big Brother 9's Power of Veto night came and went, and as always, it featured more filler than an hour-long American Idol results show. Sheila apologized to Adam for being mean to him, then turns around and throws him under the bus. We get a dull PoV competition and the dumbest Bible study group ever.
Indiana Jones and the Lost Crusade
Adam, Ryan and Matt insist on having yet another deep theological debate. Tonight's discussion: what is the Ark of the Covenant? Thanks to the Indiana Jones franchise, they know it contained the Ten Commandments and other words of God. They also know the Holy Grail is the cup of Christ (made of wood, because that is surely the cup of a carpenter). Adam suggests that, when they leave the Big Brother house, they should team up to find the Ark of the Covenant. I hope they

Big Brother 9 is here, again. I've discovered my biggest problem with this season is that nothing really matters. Usually by this point there's a side to root for and a side of evil. But now? The Alliance of Pairs as I call them (James/Chelsia and Joshuah/Sharon) are self-righteous and obnoxious. They're like the Friendship, but worse.
On the other hand, we have the braggart Matt, his loyal puppy dog Natalie, big dumb Ryan, and the unlikely alliance of Sheila and Adam. I suppose I can root for the latter two, but their decision to align with these three losers, no matter how beneficial in the game, is highly suspect. Basically, this season's Big Brother house is filled with nine different kinds of crazy, none of which is entirely appealing. In that way, it's a lot like the 2004 Democratic presidential primary.
As is standard, we get about 13 hours of recaps chronicling James' return,
