• Continuity: At the Hex, Tommy Lee Jones is holding a candle that goes out and is re-lit. The candle is short at this point. Near the end of the scene he holds the candle up and it's much longer.
  
  
• Continuity: When shooting out the tyre on the bus, Roland aims with his right hand but in the reverse shot the gun is fired with his left hand.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When the bus turns over at the border you can see the smoke from the explosive cannon they use to flip the bus.
  
  

• Factual errors: Heather claims to have had Professor McCarthy the previous quarter, but the University of Texas at Austin runs on the semester system (Fall, Spring, Summer).
  
  
• Factual errors: When the score of the game is shown, it says Texas 14 Arkansas 0. Arkansas won the game 38-28 and were never behind 14-0. The only Texas lead was 7-0 after their first possession.
