C'mon, give them a break. There is no greater authority or fan of the original series than me, and I can safely say this is an awesome tribute and terrific re-imagination of Serling's original thesis. Those who say "the original was so much better" have probably not seen the entire cannon. Sure, a lot of the original's first three seasons are better than the first three episodes of the 2002 version, but already the six teleplays of the new show are better than anything to come out in the last two seasons of the original (save "The Old Man In The Cave.") What's important to note is that the new version is (thus far) keeping with Serling's mission, and Serling's mission WASN'T to present "stories with twists no one could figure out." No, Serling's mission was greater: to present stories that could appeal to anyone, that could make anyone take stock of their situation, and to make the audience think a little bit. So far the new show has done just that...and I applaud it as one of the best new programs out this year.
