British actor Steve Valentine is to marry his girlfriend Inna Korobkina.

The 42 year old, who starred in former U.S. crime drama series Crossing Jordan, got down on one knee when his actress lover recently visited the set of his new Disney show I'm in the Band - proposing in front of a live studio audience.

Valentine admits it was a nerve-wracking experience but he was relieved when Korobkina, 27, accepted.

He says, "I was very emotional all day. Everyone cheered. Everyone was crying. It was a very lovely moment." »

'Bones' recap: The prodigy son

2 October 2009 7:37 AM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

I'm subbing in for Mandi this week. I'll admit upfront: I'm a Bones latecomer. I once thought it was just another procedural, left over from the mid-decade glut of CSI rip-offs (like Crossing Jordan or Medical Investigation). But then my girlfriend got me into the Booth/Brennan supernova-hot chemistry. People compare them to past TV will-they-or-won't-they couples like Moonlighting's David and Maddie, but their flirtatious one-upmanship more resembles the love-as-a-competition backbiting in classic Howard Hawks movies. Yes, half the dialogue on the show is scientific bio-babble; yes, the visual style is somewhere between monochrome noir and Law & Order handheld verité; and yes, »

Former Crossing Jordan star Steve Valentine made a scene of proposing to his girlfriend of two years, actress Inna Korobkina. While she was visiting the set of his new show Disney Xd's I'm in the Band, Valentine, 42, coordinated with the cast and crew to stage a faux scene at the end of the day that involved the British-born actor getting down on one knee in front of Korobkina, 27, as a live studio audience looked on. Monday Night TV Ratings – House In the House! Heroes In the Out-House!

22 September 2009 9:57 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Oh, my.  Whether you loved or hated the Heroes season premiere creatively, the numbers say that nobody really cared whether Heroes could achieve 'redemption.'  The fourth season of NBC's ailing franchise was D.O.A., dragging the peacock to a fourth place finish. Wow, season 4… fourth place… is there a numerologist in the house?  Wouldn't matter, because no matter how you dice those numbers nothing good can come of it.  I'll be charitable and say that the Heroes premiere was far from the cluster-frak of last season, but it was still bursting at the seams with trite MacGuffins, puzzling story choices, and a self-referential moment that was just… weird. (Kring's Crossing Jordan was a great series, having characters mention it in Heroes was difficult to process – it was as if they were recalling the good old days.)

Heroes started the night with 6.3 million viewers in its first hour, but »

2009 Fall Preview: Heroes

29 August 2009 1:36 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Premieres on Monday, Sept. 21 (8/7c) on NBC

Heroes has been in a downward spiral for about two years now. It's sad, but it's also very true. There was a glimmer of hope with Bryan Fuller's return to "Fugitives," but he quickly left the show early in the production of season four, which is set to premiere next month.

We last left Heroes in a peculiar spot — Nathan had just been killed by bad-again Sylar. However, because the show just refuses to get rid of any main cast members, Nathan's mother Angela convinced Matt Parkman to transform Sylar into Nathan, effectively killing Sylar but keeping Nathan alive. However, it wasn't long (maybe five minutes) before bits of Sylar's consciousness began to show through the new Nathan. Meanwhile, Tracy Strauss (another example of the show's inability to lose cast members) returned as a water-controlling murderess who took revenge of all those »

The Name Game: Oldies But Goodies

31 July 2009 11:00 AM, PDT | People - CelebrityBabies | See recent People - CelebrityBabies news »

Julia Roberts wowed the fashion world in a vintage Valentino gown while accepting the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2001, but her love of all things vintage didn’t end there. She went on to select vintage names for all three of her children with husband Danny Moder — 4 ½-year-old twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter, and 2-year-old Henry Daniel. According to nameberry.com co-founder Pamela Redmond-Satran, Julia was simply following a popular trend. “Celebrity parents are leading the way for the rest of us by reviving some of these old-fashioned names, dusting them off, and making them seem fresh and new.”

So what’s the appeal? Pamela explains,

“Vintage names are finding favor with parents who want something a bit different from the classics such as Elizabeth or David that have been widely-used for decades, but that still have deep roots and staying power, that go beyond the name of the moment. »

Kathryn Hahn Welcomes Daughter Mae

28 July 2009 5:00 AM, PDT | People - CelebrityBabies | See recent People - CelebrityBabies news »

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin It’s a girl for former Crossing Jordan star Kathryn Hahn and husband Ethan Sandler! After two difficult days of labor, the 35-year-old actress welcomed daughter Mae on Monday, July 27th. Baby girl — who was not due until September — weighed in at 5 lbs., and both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.

Originally, RadarOnline reported that the early arrival temporarily halted production on the upcoming Reese Witherspoon/Jack Nicholson film How Do You Know, as Kathryn — cast as a pregnant secretary — was on set when her water broke Saturday. The magazine now reports, however, that the actress had just one day of filming left and will complete her role once she is able.

Mae joins big brother Leonard, 2 ½, at home.

Sci-Fi’s New Show: Warehouse 13

6 June 2009 9:28 AM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Warehouse 13 is Sci-Fi’s newest product that they’re giving a lot of advertising support to.

Sitting around watching the Sci-Fi (Soon to be SyFY) Channel I’ve noticed that the network is doing what they do best and that’s pummel the viewers with ads about the show repeatedly.

Warehouse 13 is about two Secret Service agents played by Eddie McClintock (Bones) and Joanne Kelly (Vanished, The Dresden Files) who get themselves transferred to a massive top-secret warehouse located in South Dakota.

The warehouse stores odd and strange artifacts that have been collected by the U.S. government. Think about it like that giant warehouse we saw at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie when they took the ark to a storage facility.

The warehouse is run by Artie, played by Saul Rubinek. He’s the one that sends the agents out to retrieve purported artifacts »

Others in the cast include Regina King (Leap of Faith), Tom Everett Scott (Grace Under Fire), Michael McGrady (Day Break), Kevin Alejandro (Shark), Shawn Hatosy (Felicity), and Arija Bareikis (Crossing Jordan).

We were forced to say goodbye to several veterans of the TV shows from the past. Some are well known to the public and some are not. Either way, the medium of television wouldn't be the same without their contributions.

Lost</i>" style="margin:0 5px 5px" />Lost's Michael Emerson had warned TVGuide.com readers that moments would come along this season where you leap off the sofa and shout, "They can't do that! Sterling Beaumon, 13, shared with us a look at how that blast in the past may change Ben's future. Or not.

TVGuide.com: I know you've done episodes of ER, Heroes and Bones. But was Lost your first death scene?

Sterling Beaumon: No, actually. I was on Crossing Jordan and I had to lie on a coroner's table for almost the whole episode. And on ER, I died in the end, with a tumor in my brain....

"True Blood" hires a Hispanic vampire

13 March 2009 8:00 AM, PDT | AfterEllen.com | See recent AfterEllen.com news »

HBO's vampire drama True Blood has just gotten a little hotter. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cuban-American actress Valerie Cruz has signed on to play an "elegant Hispanic vampire" named Isabel on the new season.

Dexter fans will recognize Cruz as having played Syvia Prado on the Showtime series, but she's also made appearances in several other television shows, including Nip/Tuck, Crossing Jordan and an episode of Grey's Anatomy.

This is a great move for Cruz, whose most recent film The Devil's Tomb (with costars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Taryn Manning) is going straight to DVD this May.

Where will she fit in among Sookie (Anna Paquin), Tara (Rutina Wesley) and the other vampiresses of Bon Temps? It's interesting that her character description includes that she's supposed to be "elegant" — I assume this means she won't be working as a waitress at Merlotte's.

How do you think Isabel will fit into True Blood? »

In this edition of Gays Of Our Lives, we introduce “In The Spotlight,” a new recurring feature where we examine in depth a particular series, character or storyline of gay interest.

First up, Casualty’s Dr. Toby De Silva, played by Matthew Needham, who bid goodbye this past week to the long running BBC medical series after a story arc during which the character struggled not only with his sexuality, but with his decision to become a doctor as well.

When Toby first joined the show in September 2007, his conflict over whether or not to be a doctor was quickly apparent as we learned that his overbearing parents had forced him into medicine. And while his relationships with women were rare, fleeting and usually disastrous, there hadn’t been much of an inkling regarding Toby being gay – at least not until he was found in bed with Ben Harding (Mark Letheren »
