Original and thought-provoking occult thriller with a great twist, 3 September 2001
10/10
Author: Charles Wood (woodch@hotmail.com) from London

Saw this film at the London Frightfest and hugely enjoyed it. It's a most unusual thriller but also cross-genre film with horror and adventure elements - Indiana Jones meets the Omen meets the X Files! Some scary moments but most of all thought-provoking. May be a bit intellectual for some just seeking thrills but after a slowish start the pay-off was well worth the wait. Udo Kier's best performance to date and Liam Cunningham most impressive (I'm a fan). Have been discussing it ever since with the g friend who also loved it, particularly the occult/new age themes explored by lead actress Natasha Wightman. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure but a must for anyone who wants to see something different which you can chat about afterwards - particularly the surprise ending. Roll on the sequel!
