Trivia:
When Nash first sees Parcher, he refers to him as "Big Brother", a reference to George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four". Later, we see that the room number of Nash's office is 101, another reference to the book. When Nash gets accepted into Wheeler, it's 1948, coincidentally the year Nineteen Eighty-Four was written. (Although technically it was published in 1949) moreGoofs:
Continuity: When Nash arrives at MIT after having come from the pentagon he is wearing a topcoat though everyone complains about the air-conditioning is broken and it followed by a scene in which opening windows because of the heat facilitates the film's "meet cute". However this might not be a gratuitous error but a foreshadowing of Nash's mental disturbances. moreQuotes:
[first lines]Helinger: Mathematicians won the war. Mathematicians broke the Japanese codes... and built the A-bomb. Mathematicians... like you. The stated goal of the Soviets is global Communism. In medicine or economics, in technology or space, battle lines are being drawn...

i think this is an excellent film.In addition awarded most important academy awards: best picture, best writing, best director and best actress. moreover i think Russell Crowe had deserved to award best actor.cause his role was really so hard but he acted incredible.
and i don't understand that why that movie is not at IMDb TOP 250 Movie List.Already if a movie had awarded Best Picture Oscar, it should be at that list automatically. But this is not a ordinary film. this is different and has a true story.
in my opinion that movie should be at least in first 20 films at IMDb TOP 250.Cause it deserves more than most of these.
