I have said this before, but I miss the 90's. I miss old school hip hop. It is not like I do not like any of today's hip hop, but I feel like a lot of it is not really saying anything. I wonder how some of it even got on radio and TV. The lyrics are meaningless and the melodies(if you want to call some of the music melodies) are stale and nerve-grating.
And what is this about shortening it? To accommodate some stupid college show called Road Show? Rap City was, and should have remained a two hour show. I do like it, though, when rappers get a chance to freestyle, and I liked when they had Throwback Thursdays, where they feature some of the old school hip hop I love from 2001 and back.
