Anachronisms: The interlocked "SC" logo appears in numerous shots, particularly during the women's practices and games in the gym. This logo was designed for the athletic department in 1993 and began its use in the fall of that year. Its appearance is inconsistent with the time frame of the film. The script "uSc" logo was heavily used prior to this time and appears elsewhere throughout the film such as the men's basketball team shorts and the coach's door.
Continuity: Monica skins her face when she falls down. When Monica's mother cleans her face after she falls over, the washcloth starts off scrunched up and in the next shot is folded nicely.
Continuity: When Monica and Quincey are playing basketball for Quincey's heart, the Nike swoosh on Monica's sports bra appears and disappears.
Miscellaneous: Omar Epps' tattoo is visible during the love scene despite the fact that it has been covered with make-up in an attempt to disguise it.
Anachronisms: In 1981 when the movie begins, Quincy's father plays for the Clippers. However, the family is living and playing in Los Angeles. The Clippers didn't move from San Diego until 1984, so they couldn't be playing in Los Angeles yet.
Anachronisms: Omar Epps is wearing a pair of Jordan XI's with a pair of warm up pants when he walks through his house. They weren't released until 1996.
Factual errors: Some of the High School players were wearing numbers that are illegal in high school basketball. In High School basketball you can't wear any number with a 6,7,8 or 9 in it.
