"The single most asked question about the show. They can , they can hear him and understand him, its just that he's a baby and for that reason they just don't take what he says with any seriousness." - Seth MacFarlane

From the commentary of E. Peterbus Unum: "The way I always looked at it was they treat him like, how in real life you'd treat... if a four year old who can speak told you to F off, you'd laugh because it's cute even though... even if he was deadly serious" - Seth MacFarlane

(A little amusing observation on this matter to ponder; The concept of a talking baby is always questioned, and yet the concept of a talking dog seems to be fine.)

Although closed captions have written "effin' cry,"Seth MacFarlane maintains on the DVD commentary that the lyric has always been "laugh and cry." Seth MacFarlane re-recorded the lyric for season 4 and enunciated the words more clearly.

Listen to the intro of "Fish Out of Water" for an excellent example of the "Laugh and Cry" line (at least on the DVD anyway)

Expect the episode and date info to change. They always do.

04/16/09 The Adam Carolla Podcast

"Family Guy" creator Seth McFarlane appeared on The Adam Carolla Podcast, where he discussed turning the hit show into a big screen feature.

"I can say with definitive assuredness that it will be out within the next few years," he said. "We already know what it's gonna be. We've been trying to lock into something that makes it so that it has to be a movie, as opposed to an extended 'Family Guy' episode. And I like the 'Simpsons Movie,' but that's something they could do with animation on TV because they're not constrained by sets. You have to find some way to make it so that it has to be a movie."

"We want to do it. And it is time. In the past six months we have seriously started talking about it. And my hope is that we will get it going within the next year. Doing the show is a seven-day a week process, so I don't know how we will squeeze in a movie. But we will figure it out. I have an idea about what it will be. It is definitely something you wouldn't be able to do on the show. That's the only reason to do a movie." - Seth MacFarlane - from TV Week - July 16th, 2008

"We are in talks with the Fox Feature Dept to do a Family Guy movie yes, we're excited, it's been a long time..." (Jay cut him off after 'time')
- Seth MacFarlane - from The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno - July 31st, 2008

"Yes, actually we've been talking about it seriously. We have very unconventional ways to approach it I cant reveal yet, but we have one extremely unexpected approach to the movie. There is no way you could do this on TV, lets put it that way."

"Honestly that's a good question and I was about to talk out of my ass there but I don't know. I would hope within the year that it would begin."

"The movie would have to be something that exists on its own and doesn't interrupt the flow of the series. What we have in mind for the movies is in some ways the universe of the series and in some ways not. We don't want to do just a long episode we want to do something that could only be done in a movie."

Is Stewie gay/bisexual ?

Interveiw by Brandon Voss From The Advocate February 26, 2008

"{Stewie} arguably {is} the most complex character. He originally began as this diabolical villain, but then we delved into the idea of his confused sexuality. We all feel that Stewie is almost certainly gay, and hes in the process of figuring it out for himself. We havent ever really locked into it because we get a lot of good jokes from both sides, but we treat him oftentimes as if we were writing a gay character." - Seth MacFarlane

http://www.advocate.com/issue_story.asp?id=51793&page=1

________________________________________________________________

Fans of "Family Guy" are pretty much convinced that Stewie is a homosexual baby. Sure, we're seen him fall in love with little girls and his babysitter, but he feels way too comfortable in women's clothing and his dreams always have naked guys in them. So will Stewie ever come out of the closet?

"Not yet," Seth MacFarlane told Playboy magazine. "We had an episode that went all the way to the script phase in which Stewie does come out. It had to do with the harassment he took from other kids at school. He ends up going back in time to prevent a passage in Leviticus from being written: 'Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination.'"

He continued: "But we decided it's better to keep it vague, which makes more sense because he's a one-year-old. Ultimately Stewie will either be gay or be a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he's so hell-bent on killing Lois and taking over the world. He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation." - Seth MacFarlane from "Playboy" interview: September 2009

"The Father, The Son and the Holy Fonz"

"Peter's Two Dads" (Original Airing)

"I'll Take Thee Quagmire" (Original Airing)

"Family Gay"

Please note that they were only rated TV-MA on [adult swim]. However "The Father, The Son and the Holy Fonz" was also rated TV-MA on TBS.

The 1st: "DaBoom" (Season 2).

The 2nd: "Blind Ambition" (Season 4).

The 3rd: "No Chris Left Behind" (Season 5).

Ernie's 4th appearance is: "Meet The Quagmires" (Season 5) but a fight is prevented.

Ernie makes a 5th in a cameo in "The Juice is Loose" (Season 7) in the mob confronting O.J. Simpson.

And Ernie is set to make a 6th appearance in forthcoming: "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side" (Season 8). Which is the next installment in the Star Wars retelling episodes. The episode is a retelling of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Ernie is set to play the character of Boba Fett. Which is very appropriate, considering the fact, that Peter plays the character of Han Solo.

Kenny Loggins's "Mr. Night".

The scene is virtually identical to the scene in Caddyshack with Lois replacing Cindy Morgan's character

"Friends and Lovers" by Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson

"Model Misbehavior" (Peter is actually performing "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart)

"No Chris Left Behind"

Geto Boyz - "Still"

Scene & music from the movie Office Space

Kenny Loggins - I'm Free (Heaven Helps The Man)

As for the scene, it does not parody anything. Seth says in the episode commentary, "It's just 80's movie bull(sheet)"

Cleveland Junior and Kevin were uninteresting to write for so they were written out of the show. Alex asked for Loretta to be written out because of the strain it took on her voice.

- Joe reveals in "Stew-roids", Kevin died in Iraq.

- Loretta was last seen in "Love Blactually" & Seth revealed at a FOXFall press event she's going to die in a future episode of "The Cleveland Show"

- Cleveland Jr. is now 14 and is now on "The Cleveland Show". He's older, has gained a great deal of weight & requires glasses. So far an explanation has not been given for the drastic change in the character.

Lacey Chabert

"You know, it was just purely a contractual thing. Lacey Chabert, I think there was a mistake in her contract, and I guess she had not intended to be involved for, like, the full run of the show. I don't even remember. To be honest, I don't really, to this day, know what it was. It was nothing there was no tension or anything. She wanted to go, and she was very cool about it. We obviously don't want to keep anyone there who doesn't want to be there. So, you know, it was early on enough in the show that it wasn't a huge that happens from time to time, you've got to replace a voice actor. Fortunately, what Mila Kunis brought to it, Mila Kunis, was in a lot of ways, I thought, almost more right for the character. I say that Lacey Chabert did a phenomenal job, but there was something about Mila Kunis something very natural about Mila Kunis". -- Seth MacFarlane

"We are well aware that the labeling of the seasons on these DVDs are confusing, but for some reason FOX in the UK has decided to categorizes the episodes differently to FOX in the States."

"Originally "Family Guy" was only available on DVD in the UK and were sold as seasons 1, 2, and 3. Then the States caught up by selling those seasons as two volumes. Since then FOX has opted for global releases, which seems to have resulted in the UK DVDs (as well other non region 1 areas) continuing to be labelled as seasons despite not being complete seasons."

There's really is no reason for confusion when it comes to the dvd sets. After Season 3, the sets have been released as identical "Volumes" for all regions but remain labeled as "Seasons" (or "Series") outside R1, despite NOT being complete seasons. In fact with the exception of Season 3, there has never been a complete season set for any region.

All information below is based on how Family Guy aired originally & presently on FOX in the U.S.

Region 1 ......................................................Region 2,3,4

"Volume 1" (Complete Seasons 1 & 2) = "Season 1" (Complete Season 1 & Seven episodes of Season 2)

"Volume 2" (Complete Season 3) = "Season 2" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 2)

N/A = "Season 3" (Complete Season 3)

(Sets now become identical but named differently)

"Volume 3" (First 13 episodes of Season 4) = "Season 4" (First 13 episodes of Season 4)

"Volume 4" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4 (minus "Stewie B. Goode", "Bango Was His Name-O" & "Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure")) = "Season 5" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4 (minus "Stewie B. Goode", "Bango Was His Name-O" & "Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure"))

"Volume 5" (First 13 episodes of Season 5) = "Season 6" (First 13 episodes of Season 5)

"Volume 6" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus "Blue Harvest")) = "Season 7" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus "Blue Harvest"))

"Volume 7" ("Back to the Woods", "Play it Again Brian", "The Former Life of Brian" & "Long John Peter" and Season 7's episodes - "Love Blactually" to "The Juice Is Loose!") = "Season 8" ("Back to the Woods", "Play it Again Brian", "The Former Life of Brian" & "Long John Peter" and Season 7's episodes - "Love Blactually" to "The Juice Is Loose!")

Next Set: Release date TBA

"Volume 8" (Season 7's episodes: "FOX-y Lady", "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven", "420", "Stew-Roids", "We Love You Conrad", "Three Kings", "Peter's Progress" & (presumably) Season 8's episodes: "Road to the Multiverse", "Family Goy", "Spies Reminiscent of Us", "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag", "Hannah Banana" & "Quagmire's Baby") = "Season 9" (Season 7's episodes: "FOX-y Lady", "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven", "420", "Stew-Roids", "We Love You Conrad", "Three Kings", "Peter's Progress" & (presumably) Season 8's episodes: "Road to the Multiverse", "Family Goy", "Spies Reminiscent of Us", "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag", "Hannah Banana" & "Quagmire's Baby")

No, they don't. Despite her receiving the most amount of neglect, her family still loves her. Peter is the main one responsible for the constant put-downs aimed at Meg. However in "Road to Rupert" Peter and Meg bonded after Meg viciously beat up a guy after she was called a "dumb bimbo". However, this was short lived as Peter only bonded with Meg when his licence was suspended. Peter then receives his licence and Meg states the family will go back to hating her. However, Peter states they will be secret best friends and their friendship cannot be mentioned to the family as Peter apparently deals with peer pressure by his family (as he is the main one who makes crude, unloving jokes about Meg)

It's a reference to Monty Pythons 1983 film "The Meaning of Life"

Yes, she's very much a real woman.

Cherry Chevapravatdumrong pronounced -- Che-va (rhymes w/ She-va), pra-vat (sounds like Lava w/ a T at the end), dum (sounds like dumb), rong (sounds like wrong)

She is of Thai ancestry and is currently the executive story editor & co-producer on Family Guy.

The ending of Harrison Ford's 1981 action movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

In fact, Peter's quote of "Top men" is a quote from the movie as well.
