He asks Phoebe to keep the secret, while he tries to find the best way to end his relationship with Piper.

After an earthquake, the Halliwell sisters call the gasman to check the smell of gas in the basement. The man is possessed by an evil force, and later Phoebe, who is afraid of the Boogieman, is also possessed. Prue and Piper are expelled from their house and they find that the place is a spiritual nexus, equidistant from the five elements: earth, water, fire, wood and metal. Now evil is living in the house and the two sisters have to fight to rescue Phoebe from the dark side and destroy evil and bring the good and light back to the place.

Piper fails to heal Leo because she can't find what triggers his powers. Piper and Prue ultimately find the better way to kill Alec and save Leo. Meanwhile Andy leaves his job to help protect Prue's secret from being exposed by an Internal Affairs investigation, headed by one "Inspector Rodriguez".

As a warlock makes plans for his attempt to kill the Charmed Ones, he receives a visit from Tempus, a demon who will turn back time until the warlock succeeds in killing all the sisters. Meanwhile, because of the endless loop, Phoebe has a number of strong cases of deja vu, and she even sees Andy's death at the hand of a warlock.

Season 2, Episode 1: Witch Trial

On their first anniversary of becoming witches, the sisters face a cloven-hoofed demon called Abraxas, that steals the Book of Shadows and undoes the spells they've cast, releasing old vanquished enemies of the Charmed Ones. If the demon undoes the spell that granted them their powers, they will come back to living normal lives.

But in the end Phoebe's street smarts end up saving the day.

However, he's apparently too scared he won't be trained up in time by Leo, whose improbably frequent presence for a handyman is making neighbor Dan doubt if Piper is over him.

While in the P3 slicing Kino not inspected by the Health Department, Piper collapses and is moved to the San Francisco Memorial Hospital. The specialist Dr. Curtis Williamson finds that she has Oroya Fever, a very rare disease. Meanwhile, Prue is working in the authentication of a Monet. When Piper gets into a coma, Dr. Williamson tells Pru and Phoebe that Piper has to pull out of the coma by herself. Leo is contacted by Prue and Phoebe, but he informs that he is not allowed to heal Piper. The sisters decide to cast an awakening spell to save Piper, but their personal gain causes an outbreak in the hospital and the Center of Disease Control (CDC) is called, with dramatic consequences for the sisters and Leo.

Kryto makes a further demand of magical powers, and one of the ladies, Aunt Gail, offers the abilities of the charmed ones. Aunt Gail visits the Halliwell sisters, steals one spell from the Book of Shadows to transfer the powers of witches and betrayals the naive sisters. Piper finally tells Dan her choice for Leo.

Season 2, Episode 18: Chick Flick

When the Demon of Illusion threatens Prue and Phoebe at their home, the sisters chase him and he hides in a movie theater. Phoebe casts a spell to vanquish the demon, but he actually is transported to the screen of Phoebe's favorite movie "Kill It Before It Dies". The lead character Billy, with whom Phoebe has a great and old crush, is brought to the real world, together with the invincible killers The Slasher and Bloody Mary, who were assigned by the Demon of Illusion to kill the Halliwell sisters. Meanwhile, Prue is assigned by Gil Corso to photograph her idol, the famous photographer Finley Beck. However, her illusion is destroyed when she realizes how arrogant and stupid the guy is. Phoebe recalls how The Slasher and Bloody Mary are destroyed in the movies, and the sisters successfully kill them.

Later the ghost of Charlene contacts Phoebe and the Halliwell sisters decide to help her to vanquish Libris and move on. Meanwhile, Prue sees a man, Cleavant Wilson, every day on the bench of the bus stop trying to find a witness to testify against the killer of his beloved daughter Tyra and she decides to help him to move on in his life. Dan discloses that Leo was married, making Piper upset.

Meanwhile, Prue is assigned to photograph Phoebe's idol, the actor Evan Stone, and a paparazzi shots pictures of them, bringing the spots on Prue. Piper tries to establish rules for Leo while staying in her house.

San Francisco is in a chaotic situation, with riots everywhere. Piper and Leo find a mysterious man in the middle of the confusion, who vanishes when they chase him. Later, the Halliwell sisters prepare a spell assuming that they have to vanquish an Anarchy Demon, but they find that the man has three mates and they actually are the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse: War, Death, Famine and Strife. When they cast the spell in an alley, Prue and War disappears. Then Phoebe and Piper join to the three other horsemen trying to bring Prue and War back. But the sisters feel that they are making a mistake and they take the heartbreaking decision of sacrificing Prue for the good of mankind.

Phoebe trusts Cole and goes to the underworld with Leo to ask him to summon Tempus and revert time while a fanatic woman shoots Piper, who dies. Paige herself is thrown into the opposite reality also when a sneeze makes her orb during Cole's spell. The only problem is no one believes her claims!

Piper is visited by the Angel of Death who warns her to prepare for the upcoming death of Leo. Piper who refuses to give him up, casts a spell that turns all males of San Francisco look exactly like Leo to confuse the Angel. He is still able to find Leo, however, when Leo makes a mistake by letting him know that he can see him. Leo gets run over by a car. Piper summons an Elder and Avatar for answers since "everything happens for a reason" and is led to an Angel of Destiny. She claims that Leo's death was a cause for their motivation to prevail in a future battle. Elsewhere, Billie contacts a demon who freezes people in the underworld. Piper realizes if she could preserve Leo through this method then she can have him back when that battle is over. But the catch is if they don't win, then she can never have him back.
