Entertainment Weekly Lists the 25 Best Soundtracks from the Past 25 Years

3 November 2009 2:34 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

I’m no music expert what with their fancy degrees and ability to appreciate music beyond “This sounds good.”  But I do know lists and lists generate controversy and controversy equals traffic!  And with their patented “slideshow” format which creates more hits based on an itemized story, EW.com has a real racket going!

Well, we just listed it like normal people after the jump.  Take a look, see if you agree, and scream your disbelief at how a certain album you love wasn’t included.  Also, remember that this is a list of soundtracks which are usually a collection of songs used in a movie as opposed to a score which is usually the instrumental accompaniment to the film created by a single composer (although there are obviously scores created by more than one composer).

If you want to click through the list like a chump, click here. It »

A flirt at 3!

3 November 2009 9:58 AM, PST | t5m.com | See recent t5m.com news »

Jurnee openly admits that she was a flirt at the age of three! She was doing a pepsi advert with Joe Montana, and she was playing with his collar, she told t5m. And her perchant for the older man didn't end there, as Jurnee also had many celebrity crushes from a young age like, Paul Newman, Wesley Snipes, Will Smith, Sidney Poitier, and Denzel Washington who she first saw in 'Glory' and 'Malcom X'. Jurnee has never told Denzel that she has a crush on him, now she admires him in a fraternal way. She recalls a hilarious story when she went to the movie theatre to watch 'Waiting to Exhale' starring Wesley Snipes. Everytime he came on screen, she would clap! »

Whitney Houston Not Joining 'Desperate Housewives'

8 October 2009 12:47 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

There was much hullabaloo with the rumors that Whitney Houston, he Whitney Houston, is set to visit Wisteria Lane with a recurring role on Desperate Housewives. It was reported that the come-backing diva was in negotiations with ABC people for a recurring role.

Reps for Desperate Housewives had denied these rumors and said no such thing is happening. Houston, who recently made a splash with her Oprah interview and new album, is of course no stranger to acting. Other than The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, and The Preacher's Wife, she had made a cameo appearance as herself on Boston Public in 2003.

Battle of the sexes: Does your significant other have a favorite movie that makes you cringe?

17 September 2009 11:00 AM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

I adore my wife. And I adore Kate Winslet. (For the record, in that order.) But something happens to my internal organs whenever my lovely turns on The Holiday, a recent cable television staple. It's simply a film I can't abide, and I don't think I can explain my revulsion rationally. I'm actually a great admirer of several of that film's actors, but even their performances inexplicably make me, well, aggressively irritated. For my wife, however, The Holiday (pictured, left) is comfort viewing. It doesn't matter which scene is playing when she tunes in, she's hooked until the closing credits. I imagine it has something to do with the vicarious thrill of living in Cameron Diaz's spacious L.A. pad or canoodling with Jude Law in an English hamlet. My reaction is quite different, and if I'm unfortunate enough to be around for the scene where Jack Black be-bops »
