It's Not A Big Deal If You Miss This One..., 9 October 2003
4/10
Author: Scott LeBrun from Winnipeg, Canada

Simplistic, old-fashioned farce set in Venice; three guys with similar names (Orton (Dudley Moore), Lawton (Bryan Brown), and Horton (Richard Griffiths)) check into a hotel and things go awry when the inept bellboy (Bronson Pinchot) gives each man the wrong envelope.

This movie does get some points for decent casting; these actors are fun to watch and they do the best that they can. The film itself, however, is very mild and not terribly funny. It's a good thing it's a very short movie, because it may not be worth sticking with otherwise. I particularly enjoyed Brown and Penelope Wilton. Pinchot, not surprisingly, does pretty typical English-language mangling shtick. At least, Venice looks great and is very well photographed, and Patsy Kensit looks great too.

If you are a fan of any of the actors in this film, you may want to check this one out, but like I said in the one line summary...
