SKI PATROL was a funny at times, rip on films like HOT DOG. The film was a spoof on movies of the 1980's were the acting was horrible and they had the " preppy 1980's jock ski mentality" in the films, usually the plots being about horny undersexed teens and men in their 1920's who battled the slopes, their preppy wardrobes and hair, and their own egos to get into the sack with the ski lodges hottest, yet shallow women. SKI PATROL uses the POLICE ACADEMY style format in this tale of ski rescue guards who must battle a snobby rich guy and his goons and preserve saftey on then slopes (between wild parties). This film never took itself seriously (which was to it's credit) and features a few inspired sight gags. It even followed in the tradition of HOT DOG and was NOT shot for effect.
