This adaptation of Chris Muliin's novel about a democratically elected socialist Labour Government is a good dramatization.
Ray McAnlly does indeed not put a foot wrong in he's performance as the head of the Labour party and the British Government, Harry Perkins.
Marjorie Yates also gives a good performance as Ms. Joan Cook, the Home Secretary.
This film shows how a Labour Government copes with constant suspicion and innuendo from others, such as MI5 and the civil service, the press and big business.
I hope you enjoy it.
