Revealing mistakes: Flying wires visible on Sarah and Jareth near the end of the movie when the stairs are floating in the background.
Continuity: As Sarah runs down the first corridor of the labyrinth, the ribbons on her vest are tied, then hanging loose, then tied again.
Revealing mistakes: When Jareth throws Toby in the air and the goblin catches Toby during the song "Magic Dance", it is clearly obvious that Toby is replaced with a baby doll.
Continuity: The knot which keeps Ludo hanging, changes.
Continuity: In the Goblin City, a sign with a pair of scissors on it becomes alternately broken/fixed.
Continuity: The position of the broken bits of cannon, after the rock falls on it.

Revealing mistakes: At the gates of the goblin city, Didymus falls off his dog and as the dog runs away it brushes up against the spikes which wiggle back and forth.
Continuity: In Jareth's first song, he holds Toby, throws him upwards and leaves him for a goblin to catch. When Toby is in Jareth's hands he is with his face towards the camera. When in the air he turns around before being caught by the goblin - but his face remains towards the camera.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Sarah's step mom is talking to Sarah's dad, the step mom's mouth doesn't move according to the words she is saying.
Revealing mistakes: In the Escher-style sequence at the end, when Jareth goes from underneath the walkway that Sarah is on, and turns up onto the top of the walkway, the hydraulic rod that propels him up there can visibly be seen in the shadow that is cast on the wall behind him.
Continuity: After Sarah takes Hoggle's jewelry, she shakes it at him, but when the old man appears, the jewels are tied around her waist, though she had no time to tie them.
Boom mic visible: The end of a boom microphone is clearly visible when they almost fall into the bog of stench.
Continuity: When arriving in the Bog of Eternal Stench via trapdoor, Sarah slides out of the tunnel in one shot, then two shots later slides out again.
Continuity: During the fight with the guards, the gate leading into the city is open on one side. But when Ludo calls the rocks, the gate is suddenly closed again, and the rocks push on it from the outside.
Revealing mistakes: The wires connected to Sarah are visible as she falls down into the junkyard.
Revealing mistakes: Hooks visible on the glass bubbles, when they are first set free.
Revealing mistakes: When Sarah shatters the glass bubble, you can clearly see that she is suspended from wires.
Revealing mistakes: During the battle in the Goblin City, characters touch the spikes at numerous points, and they can be seen wobbling as if made out of foam or plastic.
Continuity:Jennifer Connelly's weight changes drastically throughout the course of the film. Comparing the ballroom sequence with the meeting of Hoggle (pond) her face is considerably plumper (cheeks). Also this is sometimes visible during scenes.
Continuity: When the Junk lady gives Sarah the statue of the princess in her room, stating that it's not junk, she hobbles over to her, but when it switches back to face the Junk lady, she's back in her original spot and the statue is still on the table.
Crew or equipment visible: When Toby catches the crystal ball on the stairs in the Escher Room, you can see the wire clipped to his clothes to stop him from falling forward.
Continuity: Sarah throws stones to distract the Goblin corps from Ludo. She is hiding behind a hedge. When she picks the second stone, she steps back behind the hedge, but after a cut she stands in front of it and throws the stone.
Continuity: After the cleaners scene when Sarah and Hoggle climb out of the vase, the shadow of the sundial nearby is at 10, but when they are standing next to it a few seconds later it reads 8.
Plot holes: After Sarah's marks are changed she sees the two doors. The guard on the right say "one of us always tells the truth and one of us always lies". However they both seem to tell the truth. And if the door is right, then surely that would be the one who tells the truth, as he told her, however this is the door that leads to the Oubilette and not the one which leads to the castle.
