• Continuity: Subotai slashes a guard across the back three times, but there is no blood.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: During the battle at the orgy, Conan slashes a guard across his chest. The actor, with his back to the camera, is clearly throwing fake blood on himself as he falls.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: During the fight at the orgy, Conan appears to strike a guard with the pommel (hilt) of his sword. The strike clearly misses, but the guard reacts as if it connected.
  
  

• Crew or equipment visible: When Conan emerges from the crypt and cuts his leg irons, a hand can be seen reaching up to snatch the chain out of the way. (No hand can be seen on the R2 DVD special edition.)
  
  
• Continuity: Conan's mother is pointing the sword at the attackers' leader with both hands on the hilt. We cuts to a shot of Conan standing beside her holding her hand, then back to her with both hands on the hilt.
  
  
• Continuity: When Conan leaves the wizard to go to the mountain on the camel, he carries a bunch of purple flowers. By the time he reaches the mountain, the flowers are white.
  
  
• Continuity: When Conan's father is killed in the beginning of the movie, an axe is left lodged in his back before he is attacked by dogs. When the dogs are attacking him on the ground, the axe in his back is gone and there is no sign it was ever there.
  
  
• Anachronisms: When Valeria is squatting with her back to the camera, the stitching of the rear pocket on her modern jeans is very visible.
  
  
• Continuity: During the battle at the orgy, the camouflage body paint on the three warriors keeps changing patterns and alternating between fresh and dull.
  
  
• Continuity: When the princess is chained to the rock, the clasps around her wrist keep changing shapes. Either way, she could easily slip her hands through them at any time.
  
  
• Continuity: After Conan cuts off Thulsa Doom's head and throws it down the stairway, the head is seen to stop rolling, still on the stairs. In the next shot, however, the head is not seen, but in later shots, reappears again where it had landed.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: In the scene in which the girl jumps off the cliff for Thulsa Doom, the landing pad is very noticeable.
  
  
• Continuity: When Conan throws a fire pot into the Mountain of Doom, it lands on a stone floor. Yet something catches fire and we see the temple go up in flames.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Thulsa Doom's followers throw their torches into the fountain after his death, one extra is seen to be wearing white sneakers under his priest's robe.
  
  
• Continuity: While sneaking into the orgy, Valeria slowly and quietly makes her way over a low ledge on her way to the main area of the cave. At one point, her foot kicks a set of large hanging chains, causing them to swing. In the very next shot of her, presumably after only mere seconds of a cutaway shot, she is in the same position as last we saw her, but the chains are completely still. Of course this is a simple error in continuity, but this also leads one to question how, if a person is sneaking into an echoing cave with no noise covering activity apparent such as a live band, can the sound of loud, rattling chains NOT be heard? Especially if she is just a scant few feet away from the assembled orgy partakers?
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: While The Wizard draws runes on Conan's face after he was crucified, you can see Conan's eyelids move multiple times.
