Good and exciting drama

A good drama-film about rape and revenge. The movie starts slow, but becomes more and more thrilling as it move forward. Lipstick has a shocking and exciting end which really got to me when I saw it in the 80's. I rented this movie on video 15-16 years ago and I have never seen it after that. Not sure if I had liked it today.
