nice costumes, a little boring, 20 February 2006

This film takes place in a whore house where the women perform on stage before being bid on by clientèle. The burlesque acts are somewhat interesting to watch, with beautiful women in interesting costumes. However, the plot is somewhat slow and boring, with no real climax. The beginning burlesque acts, when the women have had their bodies painted like animals, this only lasts for a few minutes at the beginning of the movie. The title "Swedish Wildcats" was probably used to gain more attention, while "Every Afternoon" is a far more exact title. This movie feels quite plain while watching, although I was reminded of the book "Animerotics" which was about old cabaret shows that took place in Europe involving animals and women.

The actors are good, the costumes are good, the burlesque acts are fun to watch, but overall I was somewhat let down by this. But it's still ten times better than the crappy "New York Wildcats" that Seduction Cinema made.
