Trivia:
When originally developing the character of Max Klinger, it was established that he was more "swishy" and played up the wardrobe. This worked, but not well. It was Jamie Farr's idea that the character would work better if Klinger acted naturally, as if wearing dresses were completely normal. This approach worked, and Klinger found his niche in the show.

Goofs:
Errors in geography: In the early seasons, Vietnam-like references were often made by characters: Claiming their location was in "Southeast Asia" (Korea is in northeastern Asia) and searching for missing colleagues in "the jungle" (there are no jungle regions in Korea).

Frank Burns:
[Frank and Hawkeye are arguing over a medical procedure] Don't tell me how to operate! I'm a doctor too, you know!
Hawkeye: Your secret's safe with me, Frank.

It made us laugh. It made us cry.It made us think. It is these three things that make M*A*S*H my all time favorite series. He used humor to deal with the challenge of war. This makes Hawkeye Pierce(Alan Alda) my favorite TV character of all time. The things that endear me to this series are too numerous to mention, but I will mention a few.Hawkeye and Trapper's(then later B.J. Honeycutt's) constant torment of Frank Burns,Klinger's dresses,Radar's premonitions, the practical jokes,I could go on forever. It gave me laughter,it gave me tears, and it gave me knowledge.I'll love it forever.
