Anachronisms: In one scene, a band plays "Avalon". The film is set in 1917. "Avalon" was not published until 1920.
Continuity: Will Hamilton's shorts are visible at one point as he is drying off and talking to Cal after his shower.
Continuity: While Cal is talking to Abra on the roof, in the close-ups, the light in her bedroom is seemingly on, whereas in the wide shot, her room is pitch black.
Continuity: Near the beginning of the movie after Cal climbs up on the train, the position of the sleeves around his neck changes between shots. Also the long shot shows him covering his arms with the jumper, but in the close shot his arms are still outside.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: At one point, when the Ferris wheel has stopped, Cal jumps off to help Aron. In one of the next shots the wheel is shown moving again.
Anachronisms: Early in the movie after Cal rides the train to Salina, you can see a modern day automobile in the upper right of the scene showing the view of a field.
