The Rich and the Poor, 8 March 2002
Author: The Black Englishman from London, England

Chaplin plays both the tramp as well as the rich man (which I guess he could do now that First National Films had facilitated his conviction to act, write, direct, produce and compose his own films having been born into working class society), and displays the idleness of both classes. The rich are idle because they don't have to work, and the poor are idle because they choose not to work. Whether your rich or poor, we are all the same underneath.
