Jennifer Lopez Gets a Do-Over on SYTYCD
13 December 2009 2:14 PM, PST
Jennifer Lopez is taking a mulligan.
After a spill at the American Music Awards, the "Louboutins" singer is teaming up again with So You Think You Can Dance choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo (known as Nappytabs) to do a holiday-themed number for the season finale of the show.
Although Lopez redeemed herself with a performance on Ellen, Tabitha says they're not taking any chances this time.
"We're steering clear of some big jumps," Tabitha says. "I feel like we don't have to be dangerous anymore ... Though I appreciated seeing guys with their shirts off personally -- [there will be] no sweaty backs, no shirtless guys.

Survivor’s ‘Danger’ Dave on Russell, Shambo & John
12 December 2009 9:26 AM, PST
The Galu massacre continued as "Danger" Dave Ball, 39, became the eleventh person voted out on Survivor: Samoa. The Los Angeles-based fitness instructor spoke with People about his 31 days in the game with Shambo the "fruit loop," "evil" Russell and John, the "coward and poser." --Carrie Bell
Did any part of you believe Russell would turn on Shambo?
I didn't believe Russell for a second. That would be stupid and he isn't stupid. I voted Shambo because it was the only shot I had, but I knew for a fact that I was going home because Mick shook my hand and said,

The Gym vs. The Hot Tub: How to Find Romance on Reality TV
11 December 2009 12:54 PM, PST
How do you find true love on a reality show? You might think it takes a sexy swimsuit for an inevitable hot tub scene, a red rose and a romantic helicopter ride, but some Double Stuf Oreo cookies might also do the trick!
In fact, eight couples have found love on TV's most successful franchises: The Biggest Loser, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Who knew battling the bulge was just as much of a turn on as roses and champagne?
Biggest Loser winner Matt Hoover argues that a side salad is way more romantic than long-stemmed roses, noting that the

So You Think You Can Dance’s Mollee: ‘I’d Love to Do Broadway’
11 December 2009 10:43 AM, PST
Labeled immature early in the competition, 18-year-old Mollee Gray, a lyrical jazz dancer from Upland, Calif., made her dream come true just by making the top 10 on So You Think You Can Dance. But after giving what the judges called her best performance of the season, she was unexpectedly cut just before the show's first fall finale. Meanwhile, Ashleigh Di Lello, who was unable to perform this week due to a shoulder injury, moved on. Mollee spoke with reporters about losing a spot in the finale to someone who didn’t dance, how the immaturity comments affected her and what

Poll: Jersey Shore’s Highs & Lows
11 December 2009 8:59 AM, PST
Thursday's episode of Jersey Shore, MTV's newest guilty pleasure, wasn't quite as fascinating or entertaining as week one. But it was still an enjoyable waste of time.
High point: Snooki's dancing. You know the expression "dance like no one’s watching?" I have a feeling she has it tattooed somewhere on her very tanned body. This girl let loose! And you know what? I liked it. She looked like a cross between a drunk sorority girl and my grandmother getting down at a bar mitzvah. It was probably the most real thing to come out of the show thus far.

Report: NeNe Leakes & Kim Zolciak Fired From Real Housewives of Atlanta?
11 December 2009 8:47 AM, PST
Forget about being "Tardy for the Party"! It seems Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes may not even be invited to the party! A report claims Bravo producers are looking to replace the feuding stars in the third season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
"Things with NeNe and Kim have been intense," a source told the The New York Daily News, "but Bravo feels the show is about the franchise as a whole and won't let one person stop it."
The two frenemies are reportedly demanding bigger paychecks from Bravo for the upcoming season and the show's producers are "so

Snooki’s Attacker on Jersey Shore Identified
11 December 2009 7:34 AM, PST
Of all the shocking behavior on MTV's Jersey Shore, perhaps the most disturbing image fans of the reality show have seen so far came in a teaser at the end of the first episode. In the clip, which has also been posted to YouTube, Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi gets punched in the face by a man at a bar.
Now, the man doing the punching has been identified as Brad Ferro, a New York City high school teacher.
Ferro, 24, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct in August after hitting Snooki at the Beachcomber Bar & Grill, according to The New York Post.

Stephen’s Survivor Strategy Blog: Russell’s Idol Threat
11 December 2009 6:10 AM, PST
“Be stern in the council chamber, so that you may control the situation” --Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Did Russell just invent a new use for the idol? The idol’s always carried an implied threat -- will he or won’t he play it? -- but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player whip it out in Tribal Council and say, “Watch out.” In an episode where Galu both loses its majority and seems to regain its mojo, Russell’s aggressive gameplay scares his alliance straight and eliminates both Dave and Monica. Congratulations, Russell, you win yet another Fishy Award.

Real Housewives: Lynne’s Mother-Daughter Surgery
11 December 2009 1:30 AM, PST
While Lynne had a date with her daughter at the plastic surgeon's office, tension was building among the other women ahead of Vicki's planned ladies-only trip to Florida. Among other things, Tamra's husband Simon insisted on coming along. Alexis also planned on bringing her husband because, she explained, avoiding temptation is the Christian thing to do.
Lynne: The youth-obsessed Housewife finally got her facelift, browlift and necklift, which she said was "like getting your teeth whitened." Her husband Frank was more nervous about the procedure, but supportive. "I'm happy for her that she's getting this done. It means something to her,

Top Chef Winner Says Victory Was ‘Bittersweet’
10 December 2009 11:38 AM, PST
Viewers weren't predicting Michael Voltaggio to win Wednesday night's Top Chef finale -- and neither was he. "I was literally in shock at that moment," he said, calling from Los Angeles Thursday morning and recalling when Padma Lakshmi declared him the winner. "I was totally, 100-percent sure [my brother Bryan] won." Now that his victory is sinking in, Voltaggio, 30, has more time for reflection -- and he opens up about competing against his brother, his "rivalry" with Kevin and why people think he's arrogant. --Brian Orloff
So why were you so sure your brother Bryan was going to win?

Three Good Reasons to Watch Jersey Shore
10 December 2009 9:45 AM, PST
Lately, I've noticed that my DVR is missing its usual ration of guilty-pleasure TV. My favorites, like Toddlers and Tiaras and The Real Housewives of New Jersey, are on hiatus so it was time for a new I-can't believe-i'm-watching-this series.
Why, hello, Jersey Shore! At first, I feared that this tanned, gelled, muscle-bound cousin of The Real World was just too obnoxious to watch. Here are eight twenty-somethings who are hell-bent on upholding the stereotypes (they've already been criticized for proudly calling themselves "Guidos" and "Guidettes") and the party-til-you-puke reputation of the summer revelers of Seaside Heights, N.J. And

So You Think You Can Dance’s Unexpected Elimination
10 December 2009 8:48 AM, PST
With such an amazing group of dancers fighting for a spot in the first fall finale of So You Think You Can Dance, it made sense that Wednesday's results were surprising.
Despite an injured shoulder that prevented her from competing Tuesday, Ashleigh avoided elimination -- and didn't even end up in the bottom four. And while her husband Ryan did land in the bottom (again), America pushed him through as well.
"There was a huge groundswell of emotion that has swept Ryan and Ashleigh into the finals," Nigel Lythgoe told People backstage after the show, referring to Ryan's emotional plea

Michael Voltaggio Wins Top Chef!
10 December 2009 4:56 AM, PST
For a season that pitted brothers against each other and James Beard nominees against chefs who worked with culinary masters, Wednesday's Top Chef finale kept the drama relatively at bay, highlighting three talented chefs -- Bryan and Michael Voltaggio and Kevin Gillespie -- and their exceptional, interesting food.
That is until the show's emotional final moments.
Only one could win, and up until the final courses were served for a who’s who of culinary professionals, it looked like fan favorite Kevin may go all the way. But the Atlanta-native fell short despite his strong start, paving the way for

Poll: Who Will Win Top Chef?
9 December 2009 11:49 AM, PST
It's a close race to the Top Chef finish line and with three impressive chef-testants in the running, tonight's finale in Napa Valley, Calif., could prove to be a nail-biter.
With his simple yet sophisticated cuisine, Kevin Gillespie has been the most consistent chef this season, winning a slew of challenges from the "Pigs & Pinot" event to Natalie Portman's veggie dinner party, which featured his hearty smoked kale dish.
The older Voltaggio brother, Bryan, served crowd-pleasing roasted pork loin and polenta to hungry ranchers in the desert and did equally well with his trout with a deconstructed Béarnaise sauce for the classic French challenge,

Biggest Loser’s Rebecca & Daniel: ‘Losers’ In Love
9 December 2009 10:06 AM, PST
The Biggest Loser's Rebecca Meyer not only won the $100,000 at-home prize for losing the most weight since being kicked off the show, but she also lost the most hair!
Meyer's dramatic reveal on Tuesday's finale -- she lost 139 lbs., going from 279 to 140 -- was enhanced by a cropped blond do and a slinky dress.
"I'm naturally blond and I cut off 10 inches of my hair," says Meyer, a 25-year-old student from Iowa, who dyed her hair black for the show. "Dying it back blond, and cutting it this short -- something I've never done before -- it's like stripping everything away.

The second season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta may have wrapped but Kim Zolciak is taking her show on the road.
After performing her controversial single, "Tardy for the Party," on Atlanta's reunion special, Zolciak headed out west to sing the dance hit for Ellen DeGeneres.
And it sounds like she's been practicing! Zolciak's performance -- with two male back-up dancers this time instead of female -- seemed improved since the last time. Maybe she's less nervous when she's not in front of her judging costars?

tWitch’s Take on Sytycd: Jakob & Mollee Are ‘Magical’
9 December 2009 7:19 AM, PST
Hello citizens! It's great to be back in L.A.! Tuesday's So You Think You Can Dance performances were stellar. Each dancer left their heart on the stage last night. Before I move along and share my thoughts about the show, I have to say that my heart goes out to Ashleigh, who injured her shoulder and couldn't perform. I wish her a speedy recovery.
Jakob and Mollee were the standout couple of the night! Both pieces were absolutely magical! Jakob has the Midas touch! His progress and growth has been consistently golden. I definitely agreed with Nigel when he

Kate Gosselin Gets to Work on New Show
8 December 2009 1:32 PM, PST
While Kate Gosselin says her kids miss the camera crews now that Jon & Kate Plus 8 is over, they may now have a reason to be jealous of their mom.
Gosselin spent more than three hours filming a segment for a new show at a diner in Raleigh, N.C., on Tuesday morning. The reality star mom served pancakes and grits to customers at Finch's Restaurant on Peace Street, according to Wral.com.
The local news station sent a reporter to the restaurant but she was booted by Gosselin's bodyguard, who said they were shooting a "test segment" for a future
