Celebrity Biography: Jeremy Sumpter

Jeremy Robert Myron Sumpter is an American actor born on February 5, 1989 in Monterey, California. His parents are Sandra (nee Johnson), and Gary Sumpter. Jeremy has a twin sister named Jessica, and a younger sister named Gigi, both of whom are actresses. He also has a brother, Travis, who is currently attending college. Jeremy was actually raised in a small town in Kentucky until he was eleven years old. He won Imta's Pre-Teen Model of the Year award in 2000, which landed him a contract with Mark Robert Management, and prompted his family to move to Los Angeles. Once in Los Angeles, Jeremy appeared in a few films like Frailty (2001), Just A Dream (2002), and Local Boys (2002). The world was saddened to learn that actress Brittany Murphy was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center due to cardiac arrest at the age of 32. While many news outlets were disparaging and speculating about her demise, we offered only praise and condolences to her in our piece Brittany Murphy: Life Tribute (1997-2009), which paid honor to the late actress whose bright zest for life caught the attention of fans worldwide. Kevin Jonas Weds in Long Island Blizzard

Kevin Jonas, the eldest member of the pop band, Jonas Brothers, wed longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa in Long Island Saturday December 19th. The fairy tale nuptials took place at the luxurious Oheka Castle in posh Huntington, Long Island. Brittany Murphy: Life Tribute (1977-2009)

Ashton Kutcher tweeted, "The world lost a little piece of sunshine" after learning of the untimely passing of Brittany Murphy, who had just celebrated her 32nd birthday only a month ago. His sentiment is certainly appreciated, and undoubtedly sincere, but it's also incomplete... The world lost much more than that. The world lost a large piece of the sun. As the gossip sites -- far too many to name -- continue to disparage this shining diamond, specualting that drugs were the cause of her early morning heart attack, giving little thought to the feelings of her family, friends, and fans, we're happy to see that not everyone agrees.
