Joy Behar to Levi Johnston: You Realize You're a Gay Icon?
The Levi Johnston/Playgirl publicity express continues to roll out across the country as Levi drops by to chat with Joy Behar on her show tonight. This preview clip is only 1:13 seconds long, but actually packs in quite a bit of info such as:
Levi is a gay icon. Hmm, if this requires a unanimous vote from us 'mos, then I vote no. There is a gay adult film out there with a Levi lookalike. Perhaps that is part of being a gay "icon?" He didn't want to regret "showing it all" when he got older. I guess he's saving something for his comeback five years from now. Growing up, he never saw a gay guy in Wasilla. Gays are people, too! Embedded video from CNN Video
It does sound as if Levi's world has been broadened somewhat by all of this, but listening to him talk so inarticulately, »

Interview: "The Amazing Race"’s Sam and Dan McMillen Are Neither Dumb Nor Villains
15 hours ago
Warning: This interview contains spoilers about the finale of The Amazing Race.
From the time viewers first met gay brothers Sam and Dan McMillen on CBS’ The Amazing Race last September, the duo made it hard to take your eyes off of them. Whether screaming at each other, swiping competitor’s taxi cabs, or playing volleyball in their undies (and forcing CBS to work overtime pixelating the footage) the two were always entertaining — and in the thick of things.
And just like Luke Adams did in the previous cycle of Tar, Sam and Dan represented the gay community well as they charged into Sunday night’s finale with a genuine shot at the million dollars. AfterElton.com caught up with the brothers to discuss their strategy in the race, their relationship and just why all that pixelation was necessary! And they didn't yell at each other once during the interview. »

The Legend of Zelda, rare Hawaiian hurricane.
This week is an interesting mix of storylines that actually advance, but somehow I doubt you’ll care. Hang on, because despite all the movement, it can be summarized really, really quickly.
Justin is less than disappointed when Hurricane Zelda prompts the cancellation of his Hawaiian Wedding Spectacular. He is more than disappointed when Rebecca, high on maternal endorphins after an ultrasound, renames it Malibu Wedding Spectacular, and moves forward with their plans.
He chooses to express his fear of life at an AA meeting, forgetting his father-in-law to be is also an alcoholic, who hears everything, and is rightly angry. So much for safe spaces.
Judging by this pose during his fitting, Justin considers going gay to get out of the wedding.
Tommy shows up with his daughter Elizabeth for the wedding, but didn’t tell his ex-wife, prompting Kevin to try »

Northstar, his boyfriend Kyle and sister Aurora, as drawn by Tim Fish
Marvel has been making some great steps forward in the past few years in terms of gay visibility, what with the Hulking and Wiccan, the Carolina and Xavin and, now, Shatterstar and Rictor. As great as this progress has been, it's been hard to overlook that Marvel's original gay, Northstar hasn't gotten to enjoy that progress.
That might be changing as we'll finally see Northstar officially get a boyfriend, in the second issue ofNation X, an anthology mini-series that examines how the lives of various mutants are affected by the founding of a mutant haven off the coast of California. When the next issue hits comic shops on January 6, one of the stories will be a Northstar story from out creator Tim Fish.

"The Amazing Race" (15.12): Season Finale Recap
23 hours ago
Warning: Spoilers!
Well, they gave it a valiant effort, and came close, but Sam and Dan couldn't overcome the Wonder Twins ("form of ... an annoyingly cute couple!").
The race starts with news that the teams will be finishing things off in Las Vegas. They meet up in the airport, where Brian insists he's forgiven the guys for stabbing him and Ericka in the back. Um ... yeah.
In Vegas an Elvis impersonator gives the teams their next clue, which is ... wait a minute ... what the hell? It's my fanfic come to life!
The teams are instructed to head to Mandalay Bay Hotel, where one member had to rappel face-first 600 feet down the side of the building. When they reached the bottom, they would receive their next clue.
Sam and Dan get a lousy taxi driver, and end up climbing down the building last, while Ericka makes short work of the challenge, »

Ask the Flying Monkey! (December 07, 2009)
6 December 2009 11:18 PM, PST
Have a question about gay male entertainment? Send it to aftereltonflyingmonkey@yahoo.com! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
A Note from the Flying Monkey: I recently wrote how weird it is that, completely coincidentally, I often get a bunch of questions all at the same time clustered around a central theme. Well, almost every question I received this week had something to do with music. Check it out!
Q: Oh, Great Flying Simian Even Smarter Than the Only Other Smart Monkey I Can Think Of, Doctor Zaius: You might not have heard about it because it was very hush-hush, but Adam Lambert kissed his keyboardist during a performance at the American Music Awards. Supposedly, it wasn’t rehearsed, but done “in the moment.” So what does the keyboardist think – and is he gay? – Martin, U.S. Virgin Islands
Adam Lambert plants one on keyboardist Tommy Ratliff
A: Hush-hush indeed, »
