The Vampire Diaries: Aunt Jenna's Two Boyfriends

13 November 2009 7:29 AM, PST

Just when you thought The Vampire Diaries had run out of twists and turns, last night's episode proved there's an endless supply of shocks for fans.  First was the revelation that Damon was trying to bring Katherine and 26 other vampires back to life for a killing spree, then Damon bit Bonnie when she burned the necklace, and finally, the episode ended with Aunt Jenna's dead ex-boyfriend Logan coming back, in vampire form.

Those are just some of the reasons, The Vampire Diaries climbed to new heights last night with more than 4.5 million viewers, the highest since the season premiere.  While other shows drop in viewers every week, The Vampire Diaries had been in a steady climb for the past four episodes, but in terms of viewers and quality. »

'Bones' Fan Columnist: Love, Lies, and Leprechauns

13 November 2009 5:29 AM, PST

Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, recaps last night's episode. If you're interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here.

I am totally still reeling from last night's Bones.  I mean, sure, the murder was just kind of so-so, but man, the Booth and Bones stuff was amazing.  All I have to say is thank goodness for Sweets and Gordon Gordon.  At least they can see that Booth and Bones are totally meant to be together.

In this particular episode, "The Dwarf in the Dirt," we go back to a lot of stuff that was brought up in the season premiere.  Specifically, back to the after-effects of Booth's coma dream and his newfound love for Dr. Brennan.  And, of course, we get a lovely guest appearance from Stephen Fry, Chef Gordon Gordon Wyatt.  Turns out he hung up his psychiatry profession and traded it in for a fancy coat and oven mitts. »

Is Supernatural Jumping the Shark?

13 November 2009 5:18 AM, PST

Last night's episode of Supernatural ended with prophet and Supernatural book series author Chuck telling his fans "It's not Jumping the Shark if you never come back down."  At first I really wanted to think this was a joke, but the more I think about it, the more I realize it's not.  Supernatural really is Jumping the Shark.

For weeks I've been trying to defend and rationalize Supernatural's recent increase in comedy.  Cas visited a whorehouse.  Future Cas smoked pot.  Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, Paris Hilton, the Tooth Fairy and the Incredible Hulk have all turned up.  Supernatural parodied CSI and Grey's Anatomy.  And finally, Sam and Dean attended a Supernatural fan convention.  A while ago I wrote an article defending the show's use of comedy.  I would now like to retract that statement. »

Exclusive Interview: Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota) of 'Gossip Girl'

13 November 2009 5:10 AM, PST

Zuzanna Szadkowski, better known as Blair Waldorf's maid Dorota on Gossip Girl, had no idea when she signed on for the minor role that it would make such a major impact--on the show, the fans, and her life as an actress.

"I feel blessed," she told us when we had the chance to chat with her about the part, and the positive reactions it has elicited among the show's viewers. "I'm thrilled and surprised every time I meet a Dorota fan."

Zuzanna might be surprised by Dorota's popularity, but we're certainly not. On a show that often crams a week's worth of high-stakes drama into one hour, Dorota is more than just a maid: she's our essential comic relief; the brief exhales between Gossip Girl's frenzied sessions of passion, deceit, mortification, and the other outlandish growing pains undergone by its young, beautiful and affluent stars. It helps to have Dorota, »

'Gossip Girl' Sneak Peeks: See Gaga Perform in "Last Days of Disco Stick"

13 November 2009 3:57 AM, PST

We're just a weekend away from the most anticipated Gossip Girl musical guest ever (sorry, Sonic Youth): Lady Gaga!

Judging from our three sneak peeks, the theme of this episode, titled "The Last Days of Disco Stick," is all about "Bad Romance"--what with Dan dealing with the threesome-aftermath, and Serena and Tripp still tripping over their overwhelming sexual tension.

Plus: one diplomat's son is about to make a dangerous alliance on the Upper East Side, and it's not with Chuck Bass.

America's Next Top Model: Miss J Talks Book, Antm Cycle 14, and More!

13 November 2009 2:56 AM, PST

We all know Miss J. Alexander as America's Next Top Model "runway diva extraordinaire," and now he's put out a book to help those of us who are catwalk challenged (that includes me!) to channel our inner supermodels, too.

The book is called Follow the Model: Miss J's Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise and Power, and Miss J recently sat down with ABC News to chat about his inspiration for the book, his job at America's Next Top Model, and the wisdom he received from his grandmother and mother that goes far beyond strutting and posing.

Check out the video interview after the jump. »

America's Next Top Model Cycle 13: Finale Sneak Peeks!

13 November 2009 2:30 AM, PST

Check out the promo for next Wednesday's America's Next Top Model finale for a sneak peek at what's in store for finalists Laura and Nicole, including a final Covergirl commercial recording, and an intense runway show... that will also be a sort of reunion!

We can't wait to see how it all goes down between this Antm final two, who may be lacking in height, but not in likability! Seriously, when was the last time a cycle finale stressed us out because we liked both of the models so much?!

America's Next Top Model: Kimora Lee Simmons, Andre Leon Talley Reportedly Join Judging Panel

13 November 2009 2:10 AM, PST

America's Next Top Model boss Tyra Banks has reportedly signed on two new advisors to help her critique her incoming cycle 14 models: model and reality star Kimora Lee Simmons, and Vogue editor-at-large and fashion show staple Andre Leon Talley.

As you might recall, Kimora was a panel judge during Antm cycle 1, but in later years has been rumored a Tyra "frenemy." It's just that rumor, in fact, that some sources are saying led to Simmons' new assignment at the judging table. »

'CSI: Trilogy' Review, Part 3: A Missed Opportunity?

13 November 2009 12:45 AM, PST

The CSI crossover episodes wrapped up last night, with Langston returning to Las Vegas to solve one case with implications to the bigger case he's been following: the disappearance of Madeline Briggs, who apparently was caught in the middle of a trucking ring that dealt with prostitution and illegal organ harvesting.  By now the ground rules have been more than set: each of the episodes this week are stand-alone ones, with a common thread, and Langston, linking across the three.  By the time we got to Thursday night, I honestly didn't have any expectations, because Langston is back in his home turf.

Therefore, it felt like watching any other CSI episode.  It's a little weirder than watching CSI: NY two nights ago: even if it felt like nothing much has changed, the present of a central figure in a sister show changes the mood a bit.  Last night just wrapped »

Survivor: Samoa: Watching Natalie Grow Up

13 November 2009 12:30 AM, PST

When Survivor: Samoa began, like many other fans, I had an idea of who'll make an impact and who will be eliminated early on.  For some of you who saw my power rankings over the past few weeks, you would've noticed that I always put Natalie on the bottom ranks.  Admittedly, I never really held her in high regard.

Come to think of it.  At the very beginning she was one of Russell's "dumb blondes", the people who he struck alliances with early on, only to eliminate when the deed is done, like Marisa.  When she got eliminated, it felt Russell would kick her out soon, especially after having found more reliable allies in Mick and Jaison.  The gender lines being drawn then on Foa Foa wasn't helping, either.  Liz was the most vocal of the females, and Natalie was just hanging on to her (or to Russell, although »

Ugly Betty: Preview of Episode 4.06 "Backseat Betty"

12 November 2009 10:00 PM, PST

Who would've thought the Ugly Betty changes would go this far?  Betty (America Ferrera) turns bad girl on tonight's episode as she tries to impress her teenage crush.  She goes wild - driving fast, drinking too much (Ice Slushes, yes) and even getting a tattoo.  A temporary one, that is.

On "Backseat Betty," we meet Bobby Talercio (Adam Rodriguez), a teacher at Justin's school.  He's the badboy that Hilda (Ana Ortiz) dated back in high school, and Betty's got her eye on him.  Again.

Smallville: Preview of Episode 9.08 "Idol"

12 November 2009 9:00 PM, PST

The Wonder Twins appear tonight on Smallville, adding to the array of guest stars that have overwhelmed the audience this season so far.  On "Idol," our dear Clark (Tom Welling) runs into two teens hoping to help fight crime in Metropolis.  Trouble is, well, they're causing a bit of trouble along the way.

Zan (David Gallagher of 7th Heaven) and Jayna (Allison Scagliotti of Warehouse 13) have long admired the daring endeavors of The Blur.  Lois (Erica Durance) introduces them to the city and they are surely welcomed.  Until they reveal how little they know about mastering their powers.

Ghost Whisperer: Preview of Episode 5.8 "Dead Listing"

12 November 2009 9:00 PM, PST

Most of the time, spirits with unfinished business only know half the story of what really happened to them at the time of their death otherwise they would have crossed over already. Moreover, they usually put the blame on a particular suspect but eventually realize that their untimely death doesn't completely rest on that person alone. Such is the case on tonight's episode of Ghost Whisperer.

'The Office' Recap: Voodoo Mama Juju's and Doing it for the Kids

12 November 2009 3:45 PM, PST

Angela (Angela Kinsey) is a voodoo mama juju.

That's probably all you need to hear to figure out that "Murder" is a crazy, crazy episode of The Office, one of the best since "Niagara" that featured Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam's (Jenna Fischer) wedding. It had several laugh out loud moments, which turned out to be a severe understatement to the crisis that has befallen Dunder Mifflin.

Ashlee and Colin 'Melrose Place' Sendoff: 'Crazy Naked' Sex Scene

12 November 2009 3:09 PM, PST

Sure, the two may be axed for good on Melrose Place, but it doesn't mean they can't go down without a bang. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield reveals to E! Online that a "crazy naked" scene will be their goodbye to the CW reboot.

"It involves us both wearing half-loin cloths that they had to tape to us. There are very few clothes involved in the near future. She's up for anything," Colin says about Ashlee.

Katherine Heigl Takes Another Break from 'Grey's Anatomy'

12 November 2009 3:05 PM, PST

So much for 17-hour work days.

Freshly returning to Grey's Anatomy after shooting a movie, Katherine Heigl will be rather scarce this season on the ABC show. She is set to take another hiatus, this time of the maternal nature, as she plans to spend some quality time with newly adopted daughter Naleigh and husband Josh Kelley. The Ugly Truth star will return to Grey's Anatomy early next year, reports the Los Angeles Times.

'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Review: The Naked Tanning Party

12 November 2009 2:01 PM, PST

Not much has changed as The Real Housewives of Orange County moves on to its second episode. Gretchen and Tamra still despise each other while the rest of the housewives are caught in between the mess.  At least, the heated exchange briefly comes to an end as Tamra leaves the dinner party and takes Vicki with her. Oh and both Tamra and Gretchen declare that they will never be friends again!

The Aaron Carter 'Dancing with the Stars' News Roundup

12 November 2009 1:32 PM, PST

So some people thought it was immature and off-putting (as a reader put it) for someone of Aaron Carter's age (21) to be crying on a show like Dancing with the Stars? Or maybe it's because they thought it was insincere?. For his part, he said he grew up on the show, and that from the crying boy that he was, he emerged a man.

"There were a lot of epiphany moments and I learned a lot from [pro partner Karina Smirnoff]," Aaron tells People after his elimination this week. "It was almost like my father a little bit because my dad ... taught me so many different things, but the way he did it, he only had to do it once. She did the same thing. When it came to learning something about me, she only had to say something one time."

'Desperate Housewives' Plane Crash Death Revealed

12 November 2009 1:26 PM, PST

Not a few Desperate Housewives fans scoffed at the idea - what? A plane crashing in the middle of American suburbia? - but it really is pushing through, and the damage to life and property will reportedly be huge. In fact, some sources are squealing that the plane will land directly in one of the main housewives' houses!

A little pause to let this image sink in: Bree (Marcia Cross), Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), or Susan (Teri Hatcher) sipping their morning coffee until the nose of an airplane juts from the ceiling and debris falls all over.

Spoiler ahead.

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: Affairs, Pregnancies, and Misleading Promos

12 November 2009 1:00 PM, PST

What the hell, ABC? The promos had everyone's panties up in a bunch over the whole "Are you pregnant?" thing on Grey's Anatomy (or at least the more na??ve among us), then it would turn out to be some random quip from a hallucinating teacher? Tonight on Grey's Anatomy, there were several alternately funny and sad moments, but it's all about the Chief and Cristina, mostly.

Owen (Kevin McKidd) had a "present" for Yang (Sandra Oh), who lately had been complaining that her God-given cardiothoracic gifts are wasting away because she doesn't have an attending to look up to. So in comes Teddy Atlman (Kim Raver). Yang is not Yang if she is easily pleased, so she wants to know things about Teddy and why she hasn't heard of her. Here she is whining to Mer (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex (Justin Chambers) over lunch:
