Man’s best friend has long played a prominent role in movies. We’ve had all kind of canines over the years – from animated central characters to cute sidekicks and pampered pooches to heroic hounds, but currently the world of film seems to be a glorified kennel. Dog films are coming at us thick and fast in the next few months, and not just films with dogs as adorable supporting players but those that put them centrestage. Is this Hollywood’s latest craze and what prompted it? Boxwish demands answers as we want to know – why have movies gone to the dogs?
