Trivia

Born at 12:15am-CWT.

Father, with Véronique Sanson, of Christopher Stills.

Auditioned for "The Monkees" (1966), and was turned down - not because of a lack of talent, but because his hair and teeth were beginning to fall out, and the show's producers thought he'd look too old for the role. Stills recommended his friend (and former roommate) Peter Tork, who resembled him, to the producers. Tork passed his audition, and became a Monkee.

The only artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice in the same night. He was inducted for his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Dated Rita Coolidge.

Has a son, Justin Stills, who in 1997 at age 26 was in a serious snowboarding accident in Tahoe. His trauma admission, and part of his recovery, was filmed and shown on The Learning Channel Network's reality show "Trauma: Life in the E.R." (1997).

Relationship with singer Judy Collins inspired the CS&N hit "Suite Judy Blue Eyes".

Biggest solo hit was "Love the One You're With" in 1971.

His parent's names are Taletha and William Stills.

Crosby, Stills, and Nash were awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 6666 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

Personal Quotes

"We moved around so much when I was a kid, the place I call home is New Orleans because at least I can remember the names of some of the streets there."
