That red carpet was actually snow white, making the color scheme the only thing "clean" at the taping of the Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers. In fact, there were more insults than actual guests at the wild soiree, which airs 10 pm Sunday, Aug. 9 and repeats throughout the month. Legend Carl Reiner, and stars Mario Cantone, Jeffrey Ross, Tom Arnold, Greg Giraldo, Brad Garrett and Whitney Cummings handled grilling duties. (Watch for Gilbert Gottfried, who brings down the house.) Melissa Rivers, Jackie Collins, Michael C. Hall were also in attendance. Needless to say, the latest addition of the popular roasts will go down in history as the cable net's most savage endeavor. Barbs--most so far below the belt, you can felt knees buckling--flew with careless abandon. (It's a far cry from those Dean Martin roasts ...) "Joan knows what... »

Comedian Joan Rivers turned the air blue during a live U.S. TV interview on Tuesday morning when she swore at a presenter for cracking a joke about her daughter.
The 76 year old appeared on Good Day Sacramento to promote her new show How'd You Get So Rich?, but the funnywoman wasn't laughing when one interviewer made a quip at her 41-year-old TV presenter daughter Melissa's expense.
The male TV host asked Rivers, "Ever run up to someone and say, 'Hey, how did you get so rich?' and the woman replied, 'By riding on my mum's coat tails!'"
Rivers snapped and cut short the interview - but not before scolding the presenter and dropping the 'F' word.
She snarled, "I don't think so. And I think we're gonna end the interview right now. Don't get so f**king smart."
Rivers' microphone was immediately cut off and the reporter's co-hosts were left to apologise to viewers for the foul language.
Melissa Rivers has carved out a career for herself as a TV personality and an actress, with small roles in now defunct TV shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and The L Word.
The mother and daughter duo also appeared together on Donald Trump's reality show Celebrity Apprentice earlier this year and once prowled the red carpet at big awards shows for U.S. TV specials.
It's not the first time Rivers' language has caused controversy on live TV - last year she swore on British daytime talk show Loose Women during a chat about a red carpet encounter with Russell Crowe.
She called the actor "f**king s**t", prompting the flustered presenters to apologise for Rivers' foul language. The comedienne issued an apology for her expletives - but then revoked it, insisting the British public had overreacted. »

Sorry, reality-tv conspiracy theorists; despite what some of you might have to say, Melissa Rivers—whose mother Joan Rivers beat out poker pro Annie Duke on Celebrity Apprentice earlier this week—says the show's results aren't fixed. "Oh God—it's not fixed at all!" Rivers tells Ok! Magazine. "Trust me." In fact, Rivers—who competed earlier on in the season before getting eliminated—says that the results are unpredictable that she'd get a little nauseous when going into the boardroom. "I think that my throwing up before going on [to be judged by Donald Trump] proves that we didn't know what was going on," Rivers recalls. "It's. »

As if reviving a failed reality show isn't hard enough, those involved with NBC's new version of I'm Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here now have something unexpected to deal with.
The peacock network announced in April that they were bringing back I'm Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here for a limited run. The show has been running in the UK for years but a Us version didn't find much success on ABC in 2003. Contestants for this version include D-list celebrities like Melissa Rivers, Alana Stewart, Nikki Schieler Ziering, Robin Leach, Bruce Jenner, Downtown Julie Brown, Maria Conchita Alonso, Tyson Beckford, and John Melendez.
NBC's version is scheduled to air four days a week, from June 1st until the 15th. The newest batch of "celebrities" include Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (The Hills), NBA personality John Salley, Janice Dickinson (America's Next Top Model), Sanjaya Malakar (American Idol), Stephen Baldwin (Celebrity Apprentice »

Comedienne Joan Rivers was dealt the winning hand after facing off celebrity poker player Annie Duke on the season finale of Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
Rivers was crowned the winner of Trump's reality-tv competition during a three-hour finale on Sunday, after
competing as apprentices to the business mogul to raise money for their favourite charities.
She faced competition from a long list of celebrities on the programme - including country singer Clint Black, socialite Khloe Kardashian, TLC singer Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins, former basketball star Dennis Rodman, comedian Tom Green and even her own daughter, Melissa Rivers.
Rivers insists she had no idea she been chosen by Trump until he fired her opponent during filming.
She says, "You cannot read him. I did not know until he really said, 'Joan.' I absolutely didn't know... it's so intense." »

In the May 10 finale of "The Apprentice" second celebrity edition, Joan Rivers came out triumphant. The comedienne won over poker player Annie Duke who has been personally her nemesis throughout the competition, in the challenge to set up a pre-theatre VIP party experience for patrons attending Cirque du Soleil's hit show "Wintuk."

After having Melissa Rivers and Joan Rivers sitting on her couch, Ellen DeGeneres invited Annie Duke to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to dig out her side of story. The poker player was welcomed on Monday, May 4 with the same song that serenaded the Rivers, Lady GaGa's "Poker Face".
Annie, is part of the controversial exit of "The Apprentice". Melissa was fired but blamed it all on her team mates Annie and Brande Roderick for excluding her in the project. Melissa called Annie "whore pit vipers" while Joan, in defense of her daughter, said that the money they will give to the charity is bloody. Annie told Ellen that she is extracting the 'whore pit vipers' from her vocabulary and defended her status as poker player.
Annie made it to the finals of "The Celebrity Apprentice" and will face off Joan in order to take the title. The finale will air on Sunday, »

Two celebrities that have created quite a stir in "The Apprentice" this season, Melissa Rivers and her mother Joan Rivers, have come to pay a visit on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". Both Rivers came to take a stance of what they have done, and most importantly have said on the national television about their rivals.
The mother-daughter appeared for a little talk with Ellen DeGeneres addressing their use of harsh language against Brande Roderick and Annie Duke. Melissa who was fired on the April 26 episode, called Annie "pit vipers" while Joan who was actually on another team, called Annie a "nazi" and Brande a "stupid blonde".
They were welcomed to the show with Lady GaGa's song "Poker Face" which may as well be a reference to Annie who is a poker player. Ellen said she would like to hear Melissa's side of story. So Melissa explained, "I'm a competitor. »

Poker player Annie Duke has hit back the Joan and Melissa Rivers tag team that branded her a "Viper whore." The past episode of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" saw the game devolve into a name-calling profanity laced lesson in blood is thicker than water, and that Joan Rivers always has the last word. Not so fast, as Duke's pals have rallied to her defense after Rivers branded all pokers players as Annie's "people" who were "trash." Now the Associated Press reports that the commissioner of the World Series of Poker commissioner said Tuesday that he thinks that cardplayer Annie Duke.s presence on reality show .Celebrity Apprentice. will be good for the game. Joan Rivers, he can do without. »

Watch Out Robert Pattinson, a new bloodsucking sex symbol could be coming to town.
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg - who adapted Stephenie Meyer's novels into the Twilight and New Moon films - is keen for Hollywood hunk Channing Tatum to play vampire Riley in the movie version of third book Eclipse.
Tatum, 28, stars alongside Terrence Howard in next month's bare-knuckle brawl movie Fighting and is lead soldier Duke in upcoming action flick G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. He was also part of my casting call series for the role of supersoldier Captain America.
In an interview that reveals a few spoilers - so be warned - Melissa Rosenberg told E! Online: "There's a very big battle at the end [of Eclipse] with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well.
"There are some complexities to that character. He really is tragic. He's a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he »

Indeed, one of the loudest and most controversial exits of "The Apprentice", the celebrity edition on Sunday, April 26 has drawn an aftermath. Melissa Rivers who was fired and refused to do an exit interview may not be friends with Annie Duke anymore, as both are still taking stance in their beliefs.
Melissa for the first time spoke about her lash at team mates Brande Roderick and Annie to Access Hollywood. "I knew going into the boardroom, that if we did not win, it was going to be two on one," Melissa said, adding that she "probably could have handled it a little bit better".
Melissa also noticed the note that Donald Trump passed to guest judge Jim Kramer, where he thought Melissa should be the one fired. "I noticed it at the time. Do I agree? No! Am I gonna argue with Donald? No," Melissa squared it off. On the last note, »

Chicago – Channing Tatum, the star of “Fighting” and “G.I. Joe,” may want to brush up on his vampire mythology because Melissa Rosenberg, the writer of “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” wants the muscular leading man to play Riley in the third film in the Stephenie Meyer franchise, “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse”.
According to E! News today, Rosenberg spoke to the network over the weekend at the Los Angeles Time Book Festival benefit for the Writers Guild Foundation and said, “There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well. And there are some complexities to the character. He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”

This week on "The Apprentice" Celebrity edition, the teams create a magazine 4-page spread to promote Right Guard deodorant featuring New York Knicks star center David Lee. Melissa Rivers was devastated when Jesse James is taken out of Athena to work on Kotu.
Brande Roderick steps up as the project manager of Athena while Clint Black leads for Kotu. Melissa in particular feels left out when she proposes the idea and Brande and Annie Duke answer her with silence. On the other side, Jesse is also pissed when Clint starts to take everything over without group discussion.
Melissa thinks that Brande maybe the project manager but Annie is clearly directing her in a manipulative way. Meanwhile, Jesse is even madder when Clint disagrees with his idea of getting back to Lee's root but has none of his own.
