Pretty much everything about the world of Twin Peaks is magic. The stable of actors is amazing -- from the wonders of Jack Nance to the still chills of Sheryl Lee's smile, to the quirky post-West Side Story Richard Beymer and Russ Tamblyn. Angelo Badalamenti's score remains one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. David Lynch and Mark Frost made for a perfect mixture of continuity and insanity, while always knowing just how gently to pull at the strings of tension and chill the nerves.
But my true and refined appreciation rests with Ray Wise. One of my favorite severely underrated actors, Wise's performance in both the series and film is stunning. He's one of the rare actors who can pull off the most scary and convincing moments of sadisticness just as easily as the charming moments steeped in sweetness and charisma. »

Things are starting to heat up for Priest, another in a long line of recent dark post-apocalyptic road trip movies. Paul Bettany has been attached for a while, and there are two separate casting announcements today.
First, there's been a Madchen Amick sighting. Remember when Twin Peaks was the drama to watch on TV for about three-and-a-half months? Amick was one of a quartet of babes featured on the whacked out David Lynch series, along with Sheryl Lee, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Sherilyn Fenn. And that makes me think of Two Moon Junction and the skintastic Meridian. Yikes. Anyway, Amick went on to do...not as much as I would have thought, unfortunately, but now she'll play the mother of Bettany's kidnapped niece, which is the impetus for Bettany's journey.
Also, according to Chud, director Scott Stewart has Tweeted that Christopher Plummer and Brad Dourif are joining the cast as well, »

I have this problem. I have really sensitive triggers to the '90s. Dazed and Confused. Cameron Crowe. Sheryl Lee. Grunge music. Pirate DJs and Christian Slater. Kevin Smith. Plaid. Hackers.
Get started on one train of thought and in no time, many parts of that decade flash through my mind. When I see that perfectly coiffed teen movie, I think back to Empire Records, Dazed, Pump Up the Volume, and the other films that didn't look like fashion ads. Movies about relationships lead me back to the days of Singles and Chasing Amy. And the music. Oh, the music. Sure, there was bubble-gum mainstream fare, but there was also so much that was fresh and unexplored.
One of the main reasons that I adore the '90s is because many of the films were just a little different, a little less polished, and all the better for it. I »

While the 1990’s offered few great Vampire films, there were a good fistful of entertaining, and enjoyable contributions. One of which, was helmed by Master of Macabre John Carpenter. Carpenter, who has made a reputation by creating outlandish, and often over-the-top genre pieces rounded up a fitting cast to once again, pull no punches.
Vampires focuses on a group of joyriding vampire hunters led by the erratic Jack (James Woods) Crow. Along with Crow the posse consists of suave tough guy Anthony (Daniel Baldwin) Montoya, Father (Gregory Sierra) Giovanni, and Catlin (longtime genre veteran Mark Boone Junior, who you may recognize from such films as 30 Days Of Night, Wristcutters, and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer) amongst others. For this band of mercenaries, the goal is to eliminate the first, and oldest living vampire Jan Valek (Thomas Ian Griffith), before he can locate the Berziers Cross, which holds »

With sagging ratings for the sophomore year of Dirty Sexy Money, ABC hasn't ordered any additional episodes of the drama. While it's been widely reported that the TV show is finished, one of the stars recently encouraged fans not to give up a hope. Now, another star says that he's hardly optimistic about the series' future.
Dirty Sexy Money follows the travails of good-guy lawyer Nick George whose sole client is the very powerful and dysfunctional Darling clan. The TV show showcases the talents of performers like Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin, Natalie Zea, Glenn Fitzgerald, Seth Gabel, Zoe McLellan, Jill Clayburgh, Blair Underwood, Will Shadley, Shawn Michael Patrick, Laura Margolis, Sheryl Lee, Samaire Armstrong, Candis Cayne, and Lucy Liu.
Though ABC hasn't ordered any additional installments, Baldwin recently urged Money viewers not to give up hope just yet. He said, "Our show, they very specifically said, is not cancelled. »
