FX Network has announced that it's ordered an additional 13 episodes of its acclaimed series Sons of Anarchy for what will be the show's third season. If you haven't seen it, Sons of Anarchy explores a slice of Americana by which most people are at once appalled and yet fascinated.
Starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman, the show is an adrenaline drama with darkly comedic undertones that showcases a notorious outlaw motorcycle club (Mc) and its desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that: charming. The Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, hate groups and overzealous law officers. Behind the Mc's familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business.

About 4.33 million viewers hooked their eyes on "Sons of Anarchy" season 2 finale on Tuesday, December 1. It was FX Network's number-one program for the night, the top-rated show on television in the 10:00 Pm time period and also the most-watched episode ever for "Sons", surpassing its season two premiere. For that, "Sons" is granted a third season order.
"The success of Sons of Anarchy is very gratifying and the show has become a bona-fide hit," said FX President and General Manager John Landgraf. "The critics have recognized Sons as one the best series on television, and the show has earned its place alongside FX's great drama series The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me and Damages. Creatively, this season was spectacular and all credit goes to Kurt [Sutter] and the incredible cast led by Katey Sagal, Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman."

British actor Charlie Hunnam loves playing a tough biker on TV so much, he has become a low-key Hell's Angel.
The star of period movie Nicholas Nickleby plays a gruff biker on hit U.S. TV show Sons of Anarchy - and he really has taken to the part.
As well as choosing to follow strict biker codes and fashions, the Brit wears a bullet round his neck to honour a fallen rider pal and has just bought a Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide - just like the one his character rides in the show.
He says, "I hang out with them (bikers) for a few days whenever I start to feel like I'm wavering .
"It's a question of knowing how to behave. Be quiet until you have a really firm grasp on what's going on, and then you can open up a little bit... They're not succumbing to living life in a nine-to-five way. That's something I understand." »

The big-screen adaptation of Marvel’s Thor keeps on making headlines, as today we have news of another choice actor being added to the already impressive cast, as well as unofficial first reports from the Thor set being tweet by some top names over at Marvel.
First the casting news: Thor has added British actor Idris Elba (The Wire, The Office) to the lineup. Elba has reportedly been cast as Heimdall (see pic above), the guardian of the Norse gods who watches over the BiFrost Bridge, a mystical bridge that serves as the link between the realms of Asgard (god-world) and Midgard (Earth).
I love Idris Elba, so this is good news for me and considering that the man is a fast-rising star in the industry, the name/face recognition can only be good for Thor. It seems as though Elba is also trying to stack some serious fanboy cred »

Last night's episode of "Sons of Anarchy" was the aptly titled "Balm." The fans of the show know that it was Gemma's (Katey Sagal) actions that kept Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) from making the mistake of going Nomad. It repaired the deep rift between him and step-father Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman), to unite them just at the right time to battle Ethan Zoebelle (Adam Arkin) and his toady Aj Weston (Henry Rollins). What a great stroke of casting alchemy this season! On top of a stellar cast lead by Sagal, Hunnam and Perlman, Tom Arnold (Tom Arnold!) played a shitbag porn purveyor named Georgie Caruso, and he nailed it beautifully, the right amount of skeez and venom. »

Nomad no more. The votes were tallied. Jax was given permission to leave the charter and enter club pergatory. But, Gemma had an ace up her sleeve. In what may be the most endearing scene of Sons of Anarchy to date, Gemma recounted the story of her rape. The dramatic scene was laid out amidst a montage of images of club members and their families: Opie with his new family, Bobby hanging with the club, Chibs on the periphery feeling abandoned by his family, Tig alone looking for forgiveness for his killings and Piney staring at a gun and a drink - seemingly contemplating suicide. When the scene ended, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Clay showed contrasting displays of sadness for the mother and wife they love. Jax showed anger by slamming his fist against the table, while the stolid Clay finally broke down with a tear gracing his eye. Never »

The brutal gang rape that Gemma (Katey Sagal) suffered in the Season 2 premiere of Sons of Anarchy caused plenty of pain — and it forged a bond between Gemma and would-be daughter-in-law Tara (Maggie Siff).
"They're really different on the surface, but in some ways they are cut of the same cloth," Siff tells TVGuide.com.
One thing they both have in common: their love for Gemma's son, Jax (Charlie Hunnam). Tara's involvement in Jax's life has led her back to the rough-and-tumble lifestyle of the Samcro motorcycle club, something that also brought her closer to Gemma.

"Gemma has decided to help Tara figure out how to navigate the ropes," Siff says. "What's required is that you know what the code is, and Gemma is helping her with that."

Ah, the loveliness of Hollywood gossip and rumors…
Earlier this week, Ain’t It Cool News picked up on a story from the German edition of GQ where Matthias Schweighöfer (Valkyrie) was interviewed and revealed that he was in the running for a role in Thor. The most interesting part of the story is that Matthias also said Robert De Niro and Jude Law had already been cast - something no one had heard about up until that point, not even rumored about.
Now comes reports from some sites saying that it’s all false. What to believe?
The folks at the rumor-control website, Gossip Cop, apparently got in touch with a representative of Jude Law who said there’s no truth to his involvement with the upcoming Marvel Studios production of Thor. They also claim that after making some calls, De Niro is not involved at all.

In last two weeks there have been a few additional announcements made for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Thor film. We learned that Stellan Skarsgård, father of Thor candidate Alexander Skarsgård, was cast into the movie but he had to remain tight-lipped about who he was playing. Following that, a pair of open casting calls surfaced that asked for a college student and a bunch of large “fearless” warriors.
So, if you weren’t excited about the cast so far which also includes Chris Hemsworth as the title character, Tom Hiddleston as his nemesis, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore and possibly Brian Blessed as Odin, you might be more excited now with the following two names possibly added to the cast.
According to actor Matthias Schweighöfer (Valkyrie) in an interview for the German edition of GQ, he reveals that he’s in the running for a role in Thor but that »

To Clay’s malcontent chagrin, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) was right. By setting off a car bomb on Chibs, Ethan and his small league of Arian followers have laid waste to Samcro. In Sons of Anarchy Season 2 Episode 6, “Falx Cerebri,” Clay (Ron Perlman) leads Samcro into an Ak-47 raid on an Arian League new-member rally. Unfortunately for Clay and the Club, there was no meeting. Instead of walking into a rally, the club stepped inside of an ordinary Church mixer. A.J. Weston let off a gunshot before the Sons had time to react, causing a panic and an onslaught of police, rushing to the scene. Now, the only three-full members of Samcro not in jail are Chibs, whose condition is still critical, the oxygen tank-toting Piney and Opie, who is still getting over the death of Donna. Can Clay and Jax put aside their mutual difference to put an »

We've listed down our top 50 hottest young actors and would be coming up with the latest updates very soon. Yesterday, we discussed about actors we believed to be quite underrated. How about the young actors we consider overrated? That's what this article is for...
- - -

Who qualifies as overrated? Guys who seem to be getting lots of buzz, but has no real talent at all, or perhaps just a small amount of it. I have no issue if an actor gets the cover of GQ or Details or L'Uomo Vogue every month. They can even strut their stuff on the catwalks of Milan and Paris and gain additional media mileage. But to be considered the hottest actor on the planet with nothing to show yet? That is something totally absurd.
Anyway, here's our list of ten just after the jump!

Cinema is filled with multi-talented young actors who bring to life all types of characters. Sometimes, a role is given to the wrong guy - just because he has the looks (pin-up pretty, looks awesome wearing trunks) and the connection (a powerful talent agent at his side). But when the role is given to the right guy - moviegoers get to witness something unique, memorable and powerful, even magical. Anyway, even the 'right guy' needs an agent, of course...

- - - Underrated versus Overrated: If you've watched Jumper, then you'll notice the difference between Jamie Bell and Hayden Christensen - Bell has undeniable screen presence, I can't say the same with Hayden. It could have been different if Tom Sturridge was retained to play Hayden's part. Anyway, who am I to argue? Christensen has more box office appeal than the relatively unknown Sturridge, but acting-wise?
