Sons of Anarchy: How Long Will Tara Keep Gemma's Secret?

27 October 2009 2:50 PM, PDT | TVGuide.com - Features | See recent TVGuide - Features news »

The brutal gang rape that Gemma (Katey Sagal) suffered in the Season 2 premiere of Sons of Anarchy caused plenty of pain — and it forged a bond between Gemma and would-be daughter-in-law Tara (Maggie Siff).

"They're really different on the surface, but in some ways they are cut of the same cloth," Siff tells TVGuide.com.

One thing they both have in common: their love for Gemma's son, Jax (Charlie Hunnam). Tara's involvement in Jax's life has led her back to the rough-and-tumble lifestyle of the Samcro motorcycle club, something that also brought her closer to Gemma.

"Gemma has decided to help Tara figure out how to navigate the ropes," Siff says. "What's required is that you know what the code is, and Gemma is helping her with that."

Jude Law & Robert De Niro Not In Thor?

23 October 2009 4:42 AM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Ah, the loveliness of Hollywood gossip and rumors…

Earlier this week, Ain’t It Cool News picked up on a story from the German edition of GQ where Matthias Schweighöfer (Valkyrie) was interviewed and revealed that he was in the running for a role in Thor. The most interesting part of the story is that Matthias also said Robert De Niro and Jude Law had already been cast - something no one had heard about up until that point, not even rumored about.

Now comes reports from some sites saying that it’s all false. What to believe?

The folks at the rumor-control website, Gossip Cop, apparently got in touch with a representative of Jude Law who said there’s no truth to his involvement with the upcoming Marvel Studios production of Thor. They also claim that after making some calls, De Niro is not involved at all.

Jude Law & Robert De Niro Join Thor Cast?

18 October 2009 5:59 AM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

In last two weeks there have been a few additional announcements made for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Thor film. We learned that Stellan Skarsgård, father of Thor candidate Alexander Skarsgård, was cast into the movie but he had to remain tight-lipped about who he was playing. Following that, a pair of open casting calls surfaced that asked for a college student and a bunch of large “fearless” warriors.

So, if you weren’t excited about the cast so far which also includes Chris Hemsworth as the title character, Tom Hiddleston as his nemesis, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore and possibly Brian Blessed as Odin, you might be more excited now with the following two names possibly added to the cast.

According to actor Matthias Schweighöfer (Valkyrie) in an interview for the German edition of GQ, he reveals that he’s in the running for a role in Thor but that »

Sons of Anarchy Season 2 Episode 7 (Lead In): Gilead - The Fall of Samcro

13 October 2009 10:24 PM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

To Clay’s malcontent chagrin, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) was right. By setting off a car bomb on Chibs, Ethan and his small league of Arian followers have laid waste to Samcro. In Sons of Anarchy Season 2 Episode 6, “Falx Cerebri,” Clay (Ron Perlman) leads Samcro into an Ak-47 raid on an Arian League new-member rally. Unfortunately for Clay and the Club, there was no meeting. Instead of walking into a rally, the club stepped inside of an ordinary Church mixer. A.J. Weston let off a gunshot before the Sons had time to react, causing a panic and an onslaught of police, rushing to the scene. Now, the only three-full members of Samcro not in jail are Chibs, whose condition is still critical, the oxygen tank-toting Piney and Opie, who is still getting over the death of Donna. Can Clay and Jax put aside their mutual difference to put an »

10 Most Overrated Young Actors

13 October 2009 7:18 PM, PDT | The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news »

We've listed down our top 50 hottest young actors and would be coming up with the latest updates very soon. Yesterday, we discussed  about actors we believed to be quite underrated. How about the young actors we consider overrated? That's what this article is for...

- - -

- - -

Who qualifies as overrated? Guys who seem to be getting lots of buzz, but has no real talent at all, or perhaps just a small amount of it. I have no issue if an actor gets the cover of GQ or Details or L'Uomo Vogue every month. They can even strut their stuff on the catwalks of Milan and Paris and gain additional media mileage. But to be considered the hottest actor on the planet with nothing to show yet? That is something totally absurd.

Anyway, here's our list of ten just after the jump!

10 Most Underrated Young Actors

12 October 2009 7:54 PM, PDT | The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news »

Cinema is filled with multi-talented young actors who bring to life all types of characters. Sometimes, a role is given to the wrong guy - just because he has the looks (pin-up pretty, looks awesome wearing trunks) and the connection (a powerful talent agent at his side). But when the role is given to the right guy - moviegoers get to witness something unique, memorable and powerful, even magical. Anyway, even the 'right guy' needs an agent, of course...

- - -

- - - Underrated versus Overrated: If you've watched Jumper, then you'll notice the difference between Jamie Bell and Hayden Christensen - Bell has undeniable screen presence, I can't say the same with Hayden. It could have been different if Tom Sturridge was retained to play Hayden's part. Anyway, who am I to argue? Christensen has more box office appeal than the relatively unknown Sturridge, but acting-wise?

I've watched Green Street Hooligans (Charlie Hunnam was superb!) because I love football and I'm fascinated of the sub-culture created by many football fans. Awaydays seem to have a similar theme and so, it piqued my curiosity...

About the Movie: Awaydays is based on the bestselling novel by Kevin Sampson. Set in the post-punk era in the North West of England. Paul Carty (Nicky Bell) is 19, good-looking, »

Thor Open Casting Call: Want To Go To Asgard?

8 October 2009 5:38 PM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Of the upcoming slate of solo superhero films in development at Marvel Studios, Thor is the one I’m most excited to see. I believe there’s an opportunity to create something unique and special with this character on screen. Knowing who’s involved and what it will lead to with cross-overs to the other Marvel solo titles and the eventual Avengers team-up film, makes me overjoyed with excitement and anticipation.

Every news item we’ve heard about the project from casting updates, meeting reports and first-hand accounts of the behind-the-scenes happenings have been greatly positive. Many of the key roles have been filled in recent months, including this week’s announcement of Stellan Skarsgård joining the cast. Now, official open casting calls are being announced for small parts in the Thor movie.

Stellan Skarsgård Joins Thor

5 October 2009 4:25 AM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Swedish-born Stellan Skarsgård (Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3, Angels & Demons) has been added to the cast of Marvel Studios’ Thor film.

Skarsgård joins Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Jaimie Alexander (Sif), Colm Feore and Brian Blessed (Odin).

The actor says he cannot reveal who he’s playing in the film, as with Colm Feore whom we only know will be playing some sort of villain.

The 58 year old actor was initially asked to join the Thor cast without being given a chance to read the script. This was due to Marvel’s efforts to keep plot details secure and secret but that wouldn’t work for Skarsgård.

“They wanted me to sign without reading the script. That I refused to do. Then they sent one to me that was so coded that I could only print one copy.”

Sons of Anarchy: Preview of Episode 2.4 "Eureka"

28 September 2009 10:00 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

More trouble's afoot on tonight's episode of Sons of Anarchy, and it's not just because of the traumatizing attacks on previous installments.  We last saw the characters in a "Fix" but it seems as though a stroke of genius will be hitting them tonight on "Eureka."  That is, if the gang survives another assault.

On "Eureka," there's even more tension boiling between Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Clay (Ron Perlman) as they try to rescue Tig (Kim Coates).  He's been captured by bounty hunters, and crossing the state lines is going to be tough.
