I just finished watching Vantage point and i noticed the same thing here with Matthew fox that I've noticed with all his other acting appearances. He simply can't act.
He projects nothing into the role. And he has that look on his face which seems to say "I'm getting well paid for this role so who cares what anyone thinks"

For example, at the end of Vantage point when Dennis Quaid pulls the injured Cox out of the car and demands to know why he turned traitor..Cox says something like "You simply dont understand our cause, you'll never know". The way he says it is hilariously lame. Especially compared to Dennis quaid whose acting his heart out in the scene. Cox is unconvincing and totally pitiful.

Sure he has many fans and I am not trying to sound like a troll. I just think that if he is gonna get all that money for acting...he could at least put some effort into it.
