The First Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Image Surfaces

1 December 2009 6:23 PM, PST | FusedFilm | See recent FusedFilm news »

USA Today has released the first photo for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Though the photo is somewhat boring, at least I liked what David Yates, the mastermind behind both Parts 1 and 2, had to say about the tone of the next film.

“It’s going to feel very real. We’re going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they’re like these three refugees on the run. They’re out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don’t have a home to go to. We’re kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it.”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows finds Harry, Ron, and Hermione hiding in a world full of Muggles with the fate of the Wizarding world in their hands. Directed by David Yates and starring Emma Watson, »

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton: I'm a little bit of a geek

27 November 2009 8:38 AM, PST | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton would much rather drive a hovercraft than a broomstick

What's your favourite piece of technology, and how has it improved your life?

I don't want to sound like I'm following the crowd, but it has to be the iPhone. For the past year and a half it's been the passion of my life.

When was the last time you used it, and what for?

I'm using it now [to do this interview]. The latest thing I'm hooked on is this app, Chess With Friends, and you can play it with anyone who's got an iPhone. Most of the Harry Potter cast and crew have got them, and we're always playing chess against each other.

What additional features would you add if you could?

Oh god, you know what would be really good for me is a dog locater – it would save me the hours that I have to spend looking for my dog. »

Australian morning television show "Sunrise Seven" has recently visited the set of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", and got the scoop on the filming from star Daniel Radcliffe. When responding to the question about life post the feature series, the 20-year-old gave the low-down on when the shooting of "Deathly Hallows" enters its final leg.

"It'll be funny after Christmas because after Christmas then we really are on the home stretch then...and it will be strange," said the co-star of Emma Watson. "It will be very, very odd, and very sad. But, equally, it'll be very exciting to not to have to say to people 'Sorry, I won't be available for another four years.' I am excited about it."

'Draco' Defends Daniel Radcliffe Over Pot Pic

23 November 2009 6:19 AM, PST | newser.com | See recent newser news »

Tom Felton may play Daniel Radcliffe’s arch-enemy in the Harry Potter films, but in real life he’s jumping to Radcliffe’s defense in Marijuanagate. “Harry” made headlines earlier this month when a British tabloid ran a photo of him allegedly toking up (jazzed up by a supposedly overheard quote, “I love weed”), but he quickly denied smoking anything other than cigarettes—and “Draco” has his back, the Telegraph reports. “Obviously Daniel and Emma Watson are under more pressure to keep a squeaky-clean image. When the media fabricates stories I don't think it's really fair on those poor guys,” Felton says. “He... »

Tom Felton has defended his Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe following tabloid drug allegations. The actor, who plays Draco Malfoy in the wizard movie franchise, insisted that the stories about Radcliffe being photographed smoking cannabis were not not true. Felton Defends Co-star Radcliffe

16 November 2009 4:06 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Tom Felton has come to the defence of his Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe following a media report accusing the actor of dabbling in drugs.

Radcliffe was forced to deny allegations he had been puffing on cannabis at a party after a series of pictures published in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper on Friday apparently showed the 20 year old smoking a roll-up cigarette.

Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the wizard franchise, admits his pal was left shaken by the claims but he's convinced Radcliffe will be able to weather the media storm.

He tells U.K. TV show GMTV, "I spoke to him briefly just to make sure he was Ok and he seemed to be dealing with it alright. I think he's come to terms with the fact that the press are not always on his side. It doesn't make it easier when people are publishing articles that aren't true.

"Obviously I feel for the guy, I know he's got a very strong head on him and I know he'll sail through this one easily. It's not easy, but no one can do it better than Daniel." »

Michael Jackson's Run In With Tyrese Gibson And The Real 'Spider-Man 4' Villain In Today's Twitter-Wood

The Twitter-Wood feed assembled after the jump is the fine work of Mr. Brian Warmoth, but he seems to have disappeared before finishing the evening's intro bump. So you're stuck with me, @geminibros, your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog editor.

I may not have Brian's panache, but I can still fill you in on what's shaking in the Twitter-Wood today. Rob Zombie just wrapped up the audio commentary for the director's cut of "Halloween II," "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton decided on his Halloween costume -- I wholeheartedly approve -- and "Shaun of the Dead" writer/director Edgar Wright saw the Coen brothers' new one, "A Serious Man." I wholeheartedly approve of that as well. Meanwhile, Brian Lynch has the real scoop on the next "Spider-Man" villain and Sarah Silverman shares a downright baffling twitpic. Also, Tyrese Gibson shares his very special moment with Michael Jackson, clinching himself the top »
