Anchor Bay Entertainment sent along the link to a new trailer to herald the theatrical release of its supernaturally tinged thriller Not Forgotten, starring Land Of The Dead and The Mentalist’s Simon Baker. You can check out the preview below.
Directed by feature first-timer Dror Soref from a script he wrote with Tomás Romero, Not Forgotten stars Baker as a man whose search for his abducted daughter (The Eye’s Chloe Moretz) takes him through the darkest corners of Mexico, where he encounters much worse things than swine flu—including a death cult called Santa Muerte. Paz Vega, Michael DeLorenzo, Ken Davitian, Claire Forlani and Mark Rolston co-star; the behind-the-scenes talent includes Dp Steven Bernstein, production designer Craig Stearns (a veteran of genre fare going back to John Carpenter’s Halloween and The Fog) and composer Mark Isham. A man's perfect life is ruined when his dark past catches up with him in "Not Forgotten" trailer. Telling the story of Jack Bishop, it is first displayed that Bishop lives the life of every man's dream as he has a beautiful wife and a happy, healthy daughter, Toby, as well as the career he always wanted. But when his daughter goes missing, his hidden dark secret from the past comes back to haunt him.
Desperate to find his daughter while his secret is unraveled bits by bits, he resorts to the powers of his long forgotten faith, La Santa Muerte, the protectors of the sinner and the worshippers of the dead. But, the power of the La Santa Muerte is stronger then he ever imagined as it reaches out to touch his family and reveals an even darker and unexpected web of lies and deceit.

Variety reports that Anchor Bay Entertainment has picked up U.S., British and Australian rights to Dror Soref’s thriller Not Forgotten. The Myriad Pictures production played at the recently concluded Slamdance Film Festival.
Simon Baker from The Ring Two, Land Of The Dead and the recent The Lodger, plays a man whose young daughter (Chloe Moretz from The Amityville Horror, Wicked Little Things and The Eye) is kidnapped. His search for her leads him to Mexico and uncovers dark secrets from his past, including his connection to a death-worshipping cult called Santa Muerte. The cast also includes Paz Vega, Claire Forlani and Michael DeLorenzo; Soref made his feature directorial debut on Not Forgotten from a script he wrote with Tomás Romero.
