"Dance Flick", a spoof comedy project by the Wayans brothers has received its first trailer. A satirical movie that parodies many dancing films like "Hairspray", "High School Musical", "Save the Last Dance" and "Step Up 2 the Streets", "Dance Flick" is sort of a family project that involves many of the Wayans clan.
The film is taking on the story of a rich, white girl named Megan from the suburbs who finds herself on a series of misadventures when she moves to the mean streets of the inner-city after her mom dies. Megan then befriends some people who share similar interest with her, dancing.
"Basically, it's 'Step Up 2' on the streets, and our Tracy Transfat character, who's kinda like the big chubby girl from 'Hairspray,' got tossed into the air and lands on the car from 'How She Move' and blows the windows out, and so that's

I loved Marlon Wayans in Requiem For A Dream. And I love Damon Wayans period. But by the knights of Columbus can that family farm out a turd. Below you can see the poster for their newest effort, wittily titled Dance Movie. The good news is that there's now an even quicker litmus test for whether a chick is suitable for mating with, bad news is that the very fact that this film exists is proof enough that we must have five, maybe six days tops left on this planet before the end of days. Yeah,...

There was a movie about a decade ago called Hijacking Hollywood that featured a movie-within-a-movie that was a soulless, megabudget, Hollywood special effects extravaganza version of Moby Dick. Now here we are ten years later and that in-joke is about to become a reality.
Variety reports that Universal is revving up for a CGI-laden "re-imagining" of Moby Dick that sounds like it'll have less in common with Herman Melville's classic novel and more along the lines of Orca on steroids. The studio wants Timur Bekmambetov, director of the Russian Night Watch films and this past summer's Wanted, a motion picture one of the critics over at Spill.com astutely summarized as "Harry Potter for Columbine kids", to direct from a script to be written by the duo that penned the Olson Twins' New York Minute. Co-producing the film will be the husband and wife duo known collectively as "The

MTV has some early details on the character of Cobra Commander in the upcoming G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura dished some new details on what we can expect from Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s portrayal. “As we see it, he’s a very twisted character. As the backstory evolves, you discover why his personality [is like that].” The key to character lies in his past and we’ll be seeing all of it. That Cobra Commander you might remember from the TV show might not exactly be the one we’ll see on screen...I thought what was great in The Dark Knight was that Heath kept telling you different stories [about his past] so you never knew what it was, and they were all spooky and crazy. [In our film] you get to see it, and you get to understand what’s happened to this guy.” The enthusiastic producer goes on to discuss the infamous mask.

More details from the upcoming "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" have been shared and this time it is about the meanest of the baddies, Cobra Commander. Providing more information about this character, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told MTV News that Destro's boss will be portrayed as an intricate character saying, "As we see it, he's a very twisted character. As the backstory evolves, you discover why his personality [is like that]."
Contrasting the masked character played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt with Heath Ledger's Joker, di Bonaventura noted that unlike Joker who takes control of his background, Cobra's past will be unveiled in the movie. "I thought what was great in 'The Dark Knight' was that Heath kept telling you different stories [about his past] so you never knew what it was, and they were all spooky and crazy," he said. "[In our film] you get to see it, and you get to understand what's happened to this guy.

‘Nuff said.
Seriously though, three new teaser posters from the upcoming G.I. Joe flick are out on the web and well… you know when you get that first real look at the skin of a film, as only an airbrushed poster can show you? I’m having that moment right now, and I’m going to have to say… I like it. Sleek. Sexy. Everyone dressed all in black. Worked for X-Men, and I’m thinking it’ll work out pretty ok for G.I. Joe too.
Nothing more to add except that G.I. Joe is still set for an August 7, 2009 release. The film will star Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Take a look at the posters and tell us what you think.
