Tons of fun for the family but not advisable for the little ones. Despite being an animation, there’s just too much violence for us to recommend this for anyone of a very young age. It is PG rated so parents please exercise caution in what you’re letting your kids view. That said, “Kung Fu Panda” is truly one of the finest and funniest animations this year. Follow the life of slothful panda bear Po (Jack Black), a son to a restaurant-owning Mr. Ping (James Hong) with dreams of becoming the ultimate Kung Fu master. It is this dream that starts the film with him leading the Furious Five against a gargantuan enemy. The “Five” consists of Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Crane (David Cross). Although keen on attending a ceremony which could be naming of the Dragon Warrior by the

The stage wasn't the only place with big-name appearances at Madonna's La concert last night. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Isla Fisher, Kate Moss, and Heidi Klum all made it out to Dodger Stadium see the energetic live performance. The trek through traffic wasn't for nothing — Britney looked fantastic during her brief appearance on stage, and Justin performed "4 Minutes" complete with some very sexy dance moves. It must have been quite a moment to see Madonna kiss Britney's hand and exclaim to the audience "She's not your b*tch" before Britney chimed in "It's Britney, b*tch," which is usually just on video. Ryan Seacrest, who first revealed the news of the exciting guest appearances, was of course among the spectators at last night's memorable show. To see more photos from the show including Hayden Panettiere in a very risque shirt, Dennis Quaid, Lucy Liu, Amanda Bynes, and more, just read more.

All children, except one, grow up -- but hopefully none of them become so cynical as to lose their belief in fairies. For those who still believe, or who might need a refresher course, Disney is releasing Tinkerbell to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 28th. It's Tinkerbell's first solo film, and the first time she will actually speak onscreen. Considering that she now boasts her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's about time she gets to headline her own movie. At last, Tinkerbell fans (and there are a lot of them!) will find out her origin, her specialty as a tinker fairy, and learn about her hometown of Pixie Hollow, the home of Disney's Fairies. Tinkerbell is the big debut of Disney's Fairies, and they will undoubtedly become a sparkly obsession to rival the Disney Princesses. By next Halloween, you might be seing fewer ballgowns, and more wings and leaf-based dresses.

Wow, what an election! No, not the McCain-Obama faceoff - I'm talking about the contest for student council president and vice president at Stuyvesant High, a jewel of New York City's public-school system.
Located in Battery Park City, Stuyvesant is super-competitive. The school counts among its graduates Tim Robbins, James Cagney, Lucy Liu, Thelonious Monk and David Axelrod, Obama's chief campaign strategist. Only 3 percent of the 25,000 teenagers who apply each year are granted admission.

Charlie's Angels star Lucy Liu spent time in France before landing a role in TV drama Dirty Sexy Money - so she could learn the language.
The actress felt compelled to learn French after visiting African countries - where few people speak English - as a Unicef ambassador.
She says, "I decided it (France) was a good place to go."
As well as learning French, the bilingual star can speak fluent Chinese, a little Japanese - which she learned for her role in Kill Bill, basic Italian and "a little Hebrew".

"Kung Fu Panda" DVD edition will be getting a direct-to-video companion film when it is available in stores. Making the announcement are Paramount Home Entertainment which points out further that the film will be entitled "Secrets of the Furious Five" and will be bundled with the original film as part of a "Pandamonium Double Pack".
Though its slug-line "The Kung Fu Panda story continues" may lead to the speculation that it is a sequel, The Hollywood Reporter explains that the storyline will be dealing with the back stories of the characters from the original film. Additionally, it is unclear whether this is the same film as the earlier reported sequel planned by DreamWorks. Still, Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman will lend their voice once again.
The release of "Furious Five" with "Panda" on Sunday, November 9 will mark the first time a new release arrives in stores on Sunday instead of its usual Tuesday outing.

Thandie Newton turned down a role in Charlie's Angels - because she was worried it would make her too famous.
The Crash star was about to start filming alongside Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore on the 2000 action film - but pulled out when she realised it would catapult her to a higher level of fame.
She was replaced by Ally McBeal star Lucy Liu.
Newton says, "In career terms it was a platinum opportunity. Or, as my agent put it, 'a one-two punch'.
"I was going to do it for about 24 hours. But then I woke up and it just didn't feel right. It would have meant entering that virtual world of stardom, but I'd been away from home for nine months (filming Mission: Impossible II) and it would have meant another six months away."
And although Newton was pleased with the decision, her agent and manager weren't - and she soon parted company with them.
She adds, "They were appalled. They thought I was committing career suicide."

The sexy star insists there is little competition between her and her Los Angeles neighbours, revealing Hollywood's leading actresses are a lot closer than the media would have people believe.
Mendes says, "There are a bunch of great solid girls who are also actresses. If I need advice, or if I need support for an event I am doing, I will call up any one of them and they will be there for me - Lucy Liu, for example, or Cameron Diaz."

Donald Trump threw yet another party to celebrate his future Trump Tower Dubai, only this time the festivities took place Saturday night in Los Angeles. He paid Christina Aguilera to come out and perform for the crowd, which included the likes of Orlando Bloom, Kate Walsh, and Lucy Liu. Hayden Panettiere looked sassy in her leopard print mini dress, and even talked to the reporters about the recent trouble with her family, reiterating to Extra that it was all blown out of proportion and even saying that it was all about the sheriff wanting "his 15 minutes of fame." Ouch. Of course, the man of the hour, Mr. Trump himself, was there to give himself congratulations on the project that is years from complete, but that sounds about par for the course with him. To see more from the party including Aaron Eckhart, Ali Larter, Donald Trump Jr, Pete Wentz and

Photo: AnimEigo Back in 2003 when I fell in love with Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume One one thing I found out about the film was that Tarantino had based a lot of it on the 1973 revenge film Lady Snowblood from director Toshiya Fujita. Ever since then I had wanted to watch it just to see what it was all about and how it inspired one of my favorite Tarantino films. Flash forward five years and I have finally watched it, and loved every minute of it. I am telling you, if you are a fan of Kill Bill, especially Volume One, this is a film you have to watch. As you will see throughout this article I have put together a few visual comparisons, some that are eerily similar, but there is more than just the visual style of the film and how it influenced some of the
