Heartthrob Robert Pattinson tried to tame his unruly hair for the La premiere of Twilight last night, though I prefer it when he lets it flow free. He posed with his onscreen love Kristen Stewart while thousands of fans screamed with excitement. The movie boasts another hot young thing, too, Cam Gigandet who is still Volchok from The Oc to me. Wherever these kids go these days madness follows and Buzz sat down to chat with Robert about it all — check out part one and part two of the interview. Jennie Garth was joined by her husband Peter Facinelli, who is in the movie, as well as some of her 90210 costars. We'll see what kind of box office gold these pretty young things can rake in this weekend, but what do you say, do you have Twilight fever? To see more from the premiere including Nikki Reed, Kim Basinger, AnnaLynne McCord,

Oscar winner Jamie Foxx bit into the role of a schizophrenic musician for his latest movie The Soloist - by chiseling his perfect teeth.
Foxx was determined to create a realistic portrayal of Nathaniel Ayers, a homeless American musician who suffered from schizophrenia, so he took the tool to his mouth to mess up his good looks.
The actor explains to Maxim magazine, "I spent hours getting the nuances of the person, making him real. Something angelic happens and you actually become that person. For Nathaniel, I pushed things a bit. I lost about 20 pounds (9.1 kilos) and I put a gap in my teeth.
"I had one (of my teeth) chipped out with a chisel. My teeth are just so big and white - a homeless person would never have them.
"I wanted to break up my big, shining piano keys to give them a little character. Some might think I f**ked up my grill for nothing, but I just wanted to come up with some s**t to make the part unique."

Actor Jamie Foxx was moved to tears when Barack Obama was voted in as U.S. President-elect - because he is convinced the Democrat has brought all African-Americans "responsibility".
Foxx is elated Obama will be the next American leader and pleads with fellow African-Americans to recognise the honour that has been bestowed upon them.
He tells Access Hollywood, "It was absolutely incredible. I'm standing around all dudes and we are breaking out in tears."
"I don't know how people felt but I know how I felt, as far as being an African-American male. I speak now to every African-American male that I see. Now we have a responsibility, a huge responsibility to make sure we do the right thing now and to cut out all the madness and silliness. Now we don't have an excuse."
"We can't say it's the man's fault when you are the man."
And Foxx is keeping 20 January free to witness first-hand Obama's inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C.
He adds, "I'm going to be there. We are going to take the family down and we are going to have a great time."

Daniel Craig, currently starring in Quantum of Solace, says the next James Bond should be black. The NY Daily News responds with a list of potential black Bonds -- Jamie Foxx, Taye Diggs, and Lance Reddick among them -- but we have to wonder. Is it really that much of a stretch replacing a handsome, mysterious, super-suave white guy with a handsome, mysterious, super-suave black guy? If you're really going to reimagine the character, why not do so in a genuinely transformative way. Ladies and gentlemen, meet your next James Bond: Al Roker!

In the past, I've done Ok predicting the Oscar races well in advance, at least as far as the acting awards go. Sometimes you don't even need to see them to figure out what's going to win: Helen Mirren playing the Queen of England, Renee Zellweger in Cold Mountain, Jamie Foxx in Ray (if you'd seen Collateral at that point, that is).
This year, my gaze has been fixed on one performance, and it's not Heath Ledger, who will also probably win. As soon as I saw the trailer for Doubt, I proclaimed that Meryl Streep would win her third Oscar, her second in the Best Actress category, and her first Academy Award in nearly 30 years. It seems like Streep wins all the time, but in fact, she's lost more races than any other actor, by virtue of having the most nominations ever.
So, yes, I believe Streep will get her 15th nomination for Doubt,

A new song titled "Just Like Me" which is performed by Jamie Foxx has been available for stream. Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, the song reveals that rapper T.I. has lent his vocals to rap some lines on the hook.
"Just Like Me" is expected to come out on Foxx's third major studio effort tentatively called "Man's Intuition". While the album's concrete details are still kept under wrap, the record is scheduled to be dropped in the U.S. market in December as a follow up to his 2005 LP, "Unpredictable".
In related news, Foxx will portray a real-life music prodigy who suffers from schizophrenia in DreamWorks Pictures' new movie "The Soloist". Also staring Robert Downey Jr. as a Los Angeles Times' columnist named Steve Lopez, the movie will hit the U.S. theaters on March 13, 2009.

The-Dream's brand new single which features Lil Jon has been revealed. Tentatively called "Let Me See the Booty", the mid-tempo jam is produced by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and expected to appear on The-Dream's sophomore studio record "Love vs. Money".
Teaming up once again with producer Los Da Maestro, who helmed most of the tracks on his 2007 effort "Love Hate", on the production desk, The-Dream will reportedly collaborate with J. Holiday, Mario, Jamie Foxx, and Usher. The rapper eyes to drop his Radio Killa/Def Jam's record in the U.S. on December 16.
"This album's gonna be the same thing - a little more beefed up, I'm just gonna give you more," The-Dream opened up more about the album's concept during an interview. "Every album I'm just gonna try to give you more of me, and what I think about certain things ... This album is just gonna be the first album on crack,

As said by Max (Jamie Foxx) and Vincent (Tom Cruise) in Collateral: Vincent: Max, six billion people on the planet, you're getting bent out of shape cause of one fat guy. Max: Well, who was he? Vincent: What do you care? Have you ever heard of Rwanda? Max: Yes, I know Rwanda. Vincent: Well, tens of thousands killed before sundown. Nobody's killed people that fast since Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Did you bat an eye, Max? Max: What? Vincent: Did you join Amnesty International, Oxfam, Save the Whales, Greenpeace, or something? No. I off one fat Angelino and you throw a hissy fit. Max: Man, I don't know any Rwandans. Vincent: You don't know the guy in the trunk, either.

When Alan Ball's pulpy, sexy vampire mystery series True Blood premiered on HBO, viewers found themselves in the company of a gay character the likes of which they hadn't seen before: Lafayette Reynolds, a gender-bender Jack-of-all-trades just as likely to win a barfight as he is to borrow your lip gloss.
As the show became increasingly complicated, so did Lafayette, who revealed himself to be an entrepreneur, a drug dealer, an Internet pornographer, and a fierce ally to his friends. He was certainly not a character you can sum up in a few words.
So when the opportunity arose to interview Nelsan Ellis, the young actor who brought this fascinating character to life, we jumped at it. Nelsan was accommodating enough to visit with me near Times Square, so we're pleased to offer a few video clips to accompany the written interview. In it, Nelsan discusses playing a gay character for the first time,

Yesterday we learned an unfinished version of Doubt will be replacing The Soloist at the AFI Film Festival on October 30. The fact Miramax is cool with showing an unfinished print as an Opening Night Gala film tells me a lot about the quality of the flick. I thought the first trailer was outstanding and have since been looking forward to see this film. Speaking of looking forward to films, Milk was supposed to screen here in Seattle this past Monday, but when Gus Van Sant bailed on his Seattle Pa tour the screening was cancelled only hours beforehand, which now means I must wait until November 6 to get my first drink of the flick, which along with Doubt, looks like one to love. This will mark Doubt's second screening as it was shown to its original Broadway cast plus a few dozen journalists and film industry honchos last night (Oct.

It seems odd that director Taylor Hackford would be peddling his latest project to studios like a door-to-door salesmen. The guy was behind Ray, after all, which garnered Jamie Foxx an Oscar for Best Actor; he also helmed Proof of Life, Devil's Advocate and Dolores Claiborne. In short, he seems a pretty bankable guy. So will a studio swoop in and pick up distribution rights to his indie drama Love Ranch and make this article outdated before it's published? Maybe. Hackford actually took this same approach for Ray, completing the film himself before approaching studios. We'll see if it works this time around. Love Ranch stars the lovely Helen Mirren (The Queen) in a not-so-stately role: she plays the wife to what I can only imagine is a smarmy, dirty-old-man Joe Pesci (seen above in a photo from the film), owners of the nation's first legalized brothel in Nevada, The

Being bumped to a new slot in 2009 apparently brings a massive effect to "The Soloist" as the DreamWorks movie has been pulled out from its participation as the opening night film of AFI Fest 2008. The fact was revealed on Wednesday, October 22, in an announcement made by the American Film Institute through the film's producers.
In a joint statement from Paramount, DreamWorks and Participant Media, the producers explained about the reason for the withdrawal. "Due to the change in 'The Soloist' release date, we unfortunately had to withdraw from the AFI Fest Film Festival," the statement read. "It was an honor to be invited as the Opening Night film and we are very grateful to the festival for their support and understanding."
Originally, the musical drama that teams up Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. has been slated to make its world premiere at the film festival when

I just got back from seeing Quantum of Solace, and now looking over the Oscar race I feel like I'm at the end of one of Bond's fight scenes, a battleground littered with bodies and bullet holes. It's been a rough, rough week in the Oscar race, with release date changes, bad buzz and struggles in the editing room destroying the momentum for at least half a dozen releases. And at this point it's not even certain who will manage to take advantage of the the gaps they're leaving. Does such a thing as momentum even exist anymore? First, let's say goodbye to The Road and The Soloist, both of which will be doing their best in the 2009 Oscar race. They leave big gaps in the Best Actor race-- Viggo Mortensen, Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx were all possible nominees-- and one new contender for Best Supporting Actor. Downey

As films falter in meeting their deadlines to make their scheduled release dates, studios are constantly shuffling the calendar. This time of years the gamesmanship is especially tough as studios eye projects with the hopes of securing Academy Award nominations. The dominoes have been falling with particular speed in the last week so here’s a recap.
With The Weinstein Company most likely bumping The Road from November to December to 2009, it has put its marketing efforts behind The Reader.
This was seen as a good opportunity for Paramount which had a lot of faith in the Robert Downey Jr. film, The Soloist. Instead, they surprised prognosticators and moved the film to March 13, 2009. Word is that test screenings did not go well and rather than spend extra dollars to rush, Paramount’s budget cutting has prompted the schedule shift.
The studio has also delayed Defiance, the World War II drama starring Daniel Craig,

I have zero ill will towards F. Gary Gray as a filmmaker, but if he's stepping in for the guy who directed Shawshank Redemption on a new movie, then maybe Law-Abiding Citizen isn't all it's cracked up to be. Again, Gray has done some good stuff, especially The Italian Job, but you just have an expectation when you hear something is going to be a Frank Darabont film and a different one when you hear it will be directed by F. Gary Gray.
Having said that, Darabont really hasn't made anything good in over half a decade, so perhaps that gap is closing.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Gray will replace Darabont, who abruptly left the film after creative differences were cited. He inherits a project starring Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, which isn't a bad place to start.
It's been a big week for Gray, who was previously announced

Paramount Pictures' "The Soloist", a drama musical that centers on a homeless violin player, has been bumped to 2009. Paramount have decided to push back the Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.-starring movie from November 21, 2008 to March 13, 2009. The news was broken out firstly by Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily and later was confirmed by Paramount.
Though it is said that the studio toppers are disappointed by the delay due to the losing possibility of it competing for 2008 Academy Awards slot, they are hoping that this film gains commercial success in the new date. Paramount vice chairman, Rob Moore, has come up with a reason saying, "We decided it's a commercial movie that will play well in the spring, and we'll give it an aggressive wide release then."
On another Paramount movie news, the limited release of "Defiance", starred by Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber, has also been pushed back

I was planning to see a bunch of awards contenders in the coming two months, but my hopes are quickly fading.
As reported by Variety, Paramount Pictures decided to push back Joe Wright’s upcoming drama “The Soloist” to March 13, 2009. The film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx was originally scheduled to hit Nov. 21, 2008.
For Paramount, money is apparently more important right now than a shot at some serious awards. The trade says the studio saves many millions by moving the flick’s release date to next year.
But that’s not all. Paramount is also postponing Edward Zwick’s upcoming war drama “Defiance,” which was scheduled to open Dec. 12. The film will open in limited release Dec. 31 to qualify for an Oscar run, but the wide release is now set for Jan. 16.
Release date changes have been quite frequent this year. “The Road,” “Twilight,” “Quantum of Solace, “Bolt

What's happening in Hollywood? Does no one have a day planner? Can nobody stick to a schedule? Pushing a film's release date back a week or two isn't a big deal, but when you move it to an entirely different calendar year, that changes everything -- especially its Oscar chances.
As we've already mentioned, rumors are swirling that the Weinsteins' The Road won't be done in time for its November release, and maybe not for December, either. Now we have three more titles on the move. Jeffrey Wells at Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting that the Weinsteins' Hurricane Season, an Inspiring Sports Drama(R) about a high school basketball team composed of displaced Katrina survivors, is "not ready" for its planned Christmas Day release and is being pushed back to March. And at Paramount,
