Comedic actor Jason Biggs has laughed off his success at the box-office - because he's constantly mistaken for fellow funnyman Adam Sandler since rising to fame.
The American Pie star admits fans around the globe seem to remember his face from the hit film, but they still have trouble getting his name right.
He says, "I don't just get recognised for being myself. I find that a lot of people, especially abroad, they'll recognise me but they don't know my name and they can't put it together. I guess the more famous version I guess they put in their mind is Adam Sandler, I get that a lot.
"They recognise the face, they certainly don't know who Jason Biggs is."

If you’re a huge “American Pie” fan hoping for a return of Jim (Jason Biggs) and co. to the big screen, this may be your happy day.
According to Moviehole, Universal is seriously considering developing a new sequel in the popular series, which kicked off with “American Pie” in 1999.
Although nothing has been confirmed at this stage and we have absolutely no idea what a new follow-up would focus on, chances are the flick will follow the newly married Jim and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan).
Ever since the release of “American Wedding” in 2003, we’ve seen quite a number of direct-to-video “American Pie” spin-offs, which have been quite successful.
In case Universal confirms plans for a new sequel, it’ll be interesting to see who they manage to bring back from the previous three flicks.
Here’s what each of the first three movies brought in domestically: “American Pie” took

Rumor has it, there will be a fourth 'American Pie' movie. According to Moviehole, Universal Pictures have scrapped their plan on the direct-to-dvd American Pie movies due to the fact that they are planning to develop "American Pie 4".
Reportedly, this fourth film will bring back some of the leading actors from the previous "American Pie" movies. However, clues on the matter remain sketchy. There are yet confirmation or denial about the proposed movie itself from Universal.
The last "American Pie" movie to hit the theaters was "American Wedding". Telling the story leading to the wedding of Jim and Michelle, the film was released on August 8, 2003 and has since pulled in $231.4 million worldwide. It stars Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott and many others.

With filthy, foul-mouthed R-rated comedy making a huge comeback (thanks, in part, to the success of Judd Apatow's films) coupled with the fact that the original cast of American Pie aren't exactly A-listin' it up on the big screen lately -- well, it doesn't take a brainiac to imagine some folks might want to revive the popular teen sex comedy franchise and stick a new one in theaters. Seeing as the direct-to-dvd installments featuring Eugene Levy all did well for Universal, now might be the perfect time to reunite this cast -- all of whom could probably use the extra paycheck (ahem, we're looking at you Tara Reid).
According to Moviehole, that's exactly what Universal is looking to do. Though no one has officially joined the cast (I think it's easy to say Eugene Levy would do it for a credit and a gift certificate to the Olive Garden

I remember watching American Pie and thinking it was pretty funny. Then I watched American Pie 2 and remembered why all sequels suck. I skipped American Wedding on the "sequels suck" theory and skipped the three direct-to-dvd spin-offs on the corollary theory that direct-to-dvd sequels suck more than anything else in the world sucks. Apparently the studio behind the movies, Universal, agrees is going to put the "sequels suck" theory to the test on the big screen yet again. According to Moviehole, Universal is planning to stop making direct-to-dvd movies like American Pie: Beta House and get back to theatrical sex and virginity jokes with American Pie 4. There is no word on which of the original stars (including Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, Alyson Hannigan, and Eddie Kaye Thomas) might come back for another round or what sort of story hasn't been milked dry. Take every bad comedy you've seen this year, bunch them together, shake them, and whatever falls out is the cast of a movie called Lower Learning. It stars Eva Longoria and Jason Biggs as teachers at the world's worst elementary school. They're about to be shut down because, as Rob Corddry points out in the red band trailer below, their kids are "pretty much retarded." Despite being red banded, the trailer is actually, in addition to being completely unfunny, rather harmless. Besides the aforementioned retard joke nothing of any note happens until the last ten seconds when a teacher curses at a kid and two tykes discuss injecting themselves with what we can only assume is some form of heroin. I wonder if that had anything to do with earning the red band label? Please, don't think edgy, pre-teen drug use means it's good. This may be the worst movie

Screen Gems’ “Lakeview Terrace” debuted in top spot over Focus’ “Burn after Reading” front-runner. Neil Labute’s PG-13 rated film posted $15.6 million from 2,464 locations at an average of $6,331. Yes, it’s another down weekend after a single up weekend for the struggling box office. Before that, there were seven consecutive down weekends. “Burn” added $11.2 million, showing a 41% change in comparison to its debuting total of $19.1 million. The Coen brothers’ film brings its total tally up to an estimated $36.4 million domestically. The players: Director: Howard Deutch, Writer: Jordan Cahan, Cast: Dane Cook, Kate Hudson, Alec Baldwin, Jason Biggs, Lizzy Caplan
Facts of interest: None at all.
The plot: Tank (Cook) takes women on horrible dates to make them appreciate good guys and run back to their ex-boyfriends. He meets his biggest challenge yet when his best friend (Biggs) asks him to take out his love interest (Hudson).
Our quick thoughts: Howard Deutch’s “My Best Friend’s Girl” is a tough comedy to sit through. First and foremost, it’s not funny. Second, it’s incredibly boring. Third, it runs for 101 long minutes. And fourth, it tells a story that’s as monotonous as these stories can get. In other words, it’s a disaster.

The post-summer slump continued at the box office this weekend, with a group of mostly sleepy releases debuting to mediocre accolades and sales. The top entry, and the only new movie to break into double digit millions, had a menacing Samuel L. Jackson to help bring in the cash. Lakeview Terrace banked $15 million, which wasn't the lowest number one this month, but isn't anything to brag about amongst all time September openings. My Best Friend's Girl came in third place, earning a meager $8 million and further proving that America is getting tired of Kate Hudson's romantic comedies. Of course, having Jason Biggs on board probaby didn't help. Animated long-time-in-the-making Igor got the shaft on release dates. What clearly should have come out closer to Halloween (but probably wouldn't have been able to compete with four-time returning champion Nightmare Before Christmas), the movie scraped together just a little less than

Crime thriller Lakeview Terrace has washed out the competition at the U.S. box office, earning an impressive $15.6 million (GBP8.4million) in its first week of release.
The Samuel L. Jackson-starring film beat out the Coen brother's comedy Burn After Reading - starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt - which fell from the top spot.
Clooney and Pitt's film grossed nearly $11.3 million (GBP6.1million), taking its two-week total to $36.4 million (GBP19.7million).
My Best Friend's Girl - which stars Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Alec Baldwin and Jason Biggs - came in third place, taking in $8.3 million (GBP4.5million).
Rounding out the top five is animated comedy Igor, coming in at number four with a taking of just over $8 million (GBP4.3million).
Robert De Niro and Al Pacino's action thriller Righteous Kill followed at number five, taking in $7.7 million (GBP4.2million) in its second week.

Weekend of September 19 – 21, 2008
“Lakeview Terrace” topped the North American box office this weekend with $15.6 million in ticket sales, according to Studio estimates Sunday.
Neil LaBute’s thriller won an easy fight against its competition in what was a relatively quite weekend at the movies. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, the film follows a ruthless cop who launches into a turbulent feud with his new neighbors (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington).
Meanwhile, last week’s box office champion “Burn After Reading” dropped to No. 2, earning $11.2 million and reaching a domestic total of $36.4 million after two weeks in release. Helmed by Joel and Ethan Coen, the comedy stars Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand as two gym teachers who try to sell classified CIA documents.
Opening in third place with $8.3 million was Howard Deutch’s latest comedy “My Best Friend’s Girl,” in which Dane Cook takes women on horrible dates

If you were making a movie named after a hit song, how many times would you have that hit song played in the 90 minutes you have my attention? Opening credits, maybe once when it fits in context? I counted four uses of The Cars' "My Best Friend's Girl" in My Best Friend's Girl, and I may have missed one or two. Worse, it plays over the closing credits...twice!
But of course, by that time, My Best Friend's Girl has already done its most significant damage. Like a lot of romantic comedies, the setup makes precious little sense. The things you see would never really happen. But because it's actually a male-oriented rom-com (like Wedding Crashers), there's a lot more dirty sex talk.
Tank (Dane Cook) is "an emotional terrorist," the guy
