Being in the same scene with Miley Cyrus on the comedy musical "Hannah Montana: The Movie", Vanessa Williams testified that the young actress-singer has been ordered by her family to do the chores and is given a "master class" in which she's been taught how to deal with stardom. Both are the things that keep Miley grounded, Vanessa told Ok! magazine.
Vanessa, who has witnessed the daily life of Miley and her family in their farm, praised the Disney star to have the "foundation" to deal with fame that prevents her from public break down. "She grew up in Tennessee on a great farm. They've got horses, she drives all the 4x4s, they make the kids do chores," Vanessa told Ok! at the Mayor's Awards ceremony at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
Furthermore, Vanessa revealed that being on the road with her singer father Billy Ray Cyrus has taught

Previously on Brothers & Sisters … Wtf? No previouslies? But I love the previouslies! Hey, ABC, don’t go and change the format on us like that. It makes me feel all anxious inside, like anything might happen without warning, and I just can’t handle unpredictability right now (Note: this recap was written on election day eve).
McCallister Ranch. Senator Prettyboy is prepping for some emergency meeting in D.C. with a bunch of … I think he means “sheiks,” except he pronounces it “shakes,” which I admit tickled me because it gave me a mental image of a bunch of politicians having an urgent summit with Mayor McCheese and those talking Milkshakes and Fries he keeps on his payroll.

Last week on Ugly Betty, we saw Lindsay Lohan’s continuing stint on the ABC series, where she plays Kimmie Keegan, an obnoxious, ambitious young woman from Betty’s past. On last week’s episode, Kimmie showed up and asked Betty to help her find a job, but Betty had other things in mind. Meanwhile, Justin stepped up and auditioned for a Broadway musical, while Daniel signed up for a matchmaking service.
While Lindsay Lohan’s stint on Ugly Betty seemed to be a success, a rumor recently sparked regarding her shortened stay on the show. Rumor has it that there was a huge conflict between Lohan and Ugly Betty star America Ferrera. Recently, Lindsay’s mother, Dina came out to clear out these issues.
"Don't believe that article," Dina said of the Page Six piece that spoke of the falling out between Lindsay and America. "[Lindsay] really had a lot fun on Ugly Betty.

The passion for youth has created a big-time dermatology business of restylane, Botox, collagen, juve derm, peels, lasering, sucking out fat and sticking in fat. The plastic surgery craze has people lift the chin, drop the eyebrow, raise the nose, lower the ears, narrow the lid, fatten the lip. Vanessa Williams has come out in defence of Lindsay Lohan following reports her recent stint on Ugly Betty was marred by infighting and diva antics.
Lohan's role on the show was cut down from six episodes to four, leading to speculation that her onset behaviour was to blame.
But Williams, a regular star in the hit series, insists that stories about Lohan being difficult to work with are simply not true.
She says, "That's what the press does, that's what gossip's about, and media is about.
"I had a few scenes with Lindsay. She was a hard worker, she showed up on time and in the scenes I had with her, she was completely prepared. In terms of me working with Lindsay, she was professional, she knew her lines and she was great with me."

Madonna took a break from her Sticky and Sweet tour and put on some crazy gun-heeled shoes to premiere her directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom in NYC last night. Lindsay Lohan must have enjoyed her Sunday night at the material girl's show, because she went right from her leggings launch to the red carpet while Samantha headed back to La amid rumors of trouble in their relationship. Dolce and Gabbana cohosted the event leading to some decked out ladies like a gorgeous Jessica Alba out for the night without Cash and a glowing pregnant in purple Naomi Watts. Chace cleaned up nicely for the show instead of staying home to watch the new Gossip Girl on TV. While Madonna's husband has been busy promoting his own new movie, RocknRolla, he didn't make it to the premiere with his wife. It looks like a certain famous Yankee stayed away from Madonna's big night too.

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera almost flashed the entire audience at the Emmy Awards after a wardrobe malfunction left her feeling exposed.
The actress' designer gown fell apart as she sat waiting to take the stage to present an award with her TV show co-star Vanessa Williams at last month's glitzy ceremony.
She explains, "I was sitting in my seat and they (planners) come out and get you when it's your turn to go backstage.
"I was wearing this dress with a bustle underneath to make it fluffy. I stood up and it just slipped out from me, the whole skirt. I thought, 'Oh my God, I'm naked underneath.' I ran backstage and asked an intern for a safety pin."
But two fellow actresses came to the rescue: "I then ran into the women's dressing room, and this woman said, 'Can I help you?' I looked up and it's Julia Louis-Dreyfus. And then Catherine Keener came along and the intern came back with a safety pin.
"So I'm standing at a mirror and Catherine Keener and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are at my butt with a safety pin. I made it onstage and no one was the wiser."

Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell. Yes it was funny but I was getting a bit worried that Steve was going to cry or beat the crap out of him. Other quick thoughts: Steve Martin, Genius. Josh Groban, surprisingly cool! Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth, favorite presenting couple. Cruel joke that was perfect — making reality TV host category wait until after the commercial break to see who won. Desperate Housewives all dolled up. Yay Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Mad Men! Click here for all the winners from last night. As for next year, let's hope the Emmys settle on one host since this year's group was like an experiment gone bad.

Lohan plays a former classmate of the main character Betty in six episodes of the series.
And Williams says Lohan did a brilliant job.
She tells American's Ok magazine, "I think she was shocked by all the hours we work. In TV, with all the setups and characters we have, it.s not a cushy job.
"I think she not only rose to the occasion but did a really good job. I think people will be pleased. She makes a great transition from Kimmie, who is working at Flushing Burger, to working for me at Mode, and I think people will enjoy seeing her progress."

The burning question is, will Matt Lauer still be speaking to them in the morning? Lauer, 50, is slated to be the victim – that is, "honoree" – when the Friars Club gathers at the New York Hilton Oct. 24 and rakes the Today host over the coals, humorously, at its annual celebrity roast – an event noteworthy for wildly uncensored remarks at the expense of the guest of honor. Among those scheduled to appear at the by-invitation-only, not-for-broadcast event include Lauer's predecessor Bryant Gumbel, his former sidekick Katie Couric and the current one, Meredith Vieira – as well as his across-the-channel rival, Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer.
