There were no ghoulish masks or intricate costumes for Kyle MacLachlan this Halloween.
Instead, the 50-year-old actor, who showed up at Heidi Klum’s 10th Annual Halloween Party in a t-shirt and baseball hat covered in bits of food, played the part he knows best: father of 15-month-old son Callum Lyon.
“I just came tonight, I didn’t think I needed a costume,” he tells Celebrity Baby Blog.
“We had breakfast this morning and then had a little bit of lunch with broccoli and there was a little bit of cereal. For dinner we had macaroni and »

On tonight's episode of Desperate Housewives, there's cheating, lying, infidelity, and a kid getting kicked off a Thanksgiving pageant for swearing. So yes, it's just like any episode on Desperate Housewives.
On the episode, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) discovers that her husband Tom may be growing backwards, as he has been cheating on his tests and wanting to lead the life of a frat-boy. Meanwhile, the Bolens saga continues, and the latest revelation is Angie (Drea de Mateo) trying to hide the truth about her mother, raising suspicion yet again. Elsewhere on "Don't Walk on the Grass" Gaby (Eva Longoria-Parker) is upset when Juanita is kicked out of the Thanksgiving pageant for swearing. Only, she makes matters worse because she getting involved leads to expulsion. Finally, Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) is inadvertently pushing Bree (Marcia Cross) further to Karl's arms.

Some people don't like the first Dune by David Lynch, but of course, they're crazy. With a stunning cast like the effortless Kyle MacLachlan, badass Sting, the mysterious Jürgen Prochnow, the black-goop-dripping Kenneth McMillan, the incomparable Linda Hunt as Shadout Mapes…coupled with the as-cool-and-strange-as-it-gets-for-1984 effects, not to mention the storyline itself… come on, it rocks! So when we all heard that Paramount was making another Dune, the two camps thought either "let's get it right this time" or "don't screw it up again!". According to Film Junk, [1] Peter Berg (Hancock, Friday Night Lights) was the first director linked to the project back in 2008. Now it seems he's walked away and in his place is rumoured to be either Neill Blomkamp (District 9) or Neil Marshall (The Descent). District 9 was fresh, tense, funny and tragic with acting by Sharlto Copley that blew my socks off so securing Blomkamp would be sweet. »

Rumors abound (I swear) over a November plane crash episode of Desperate Housewives, in which a cast member will be allegedly killed off. The general consensus points to Kyle Maclachlan's character Dr. Orson Hodge, whose blackmail-and-murder-laced storyline seems to have hit a stopping point. Is this fair? I contend that MacLachlan should survive this based on his record of outsmarting fancier foes, like emperors. Creator Marc Cherry should really boot Hatcher. Call me a fuddy-duddy, but I don't like blithe attempts at killing Conan. [EW] »

After months of speculation that Twilight star Robert Pattinson might star in director Peter Berg's upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert's "Dune," newbie gossip slangers Gossip Cop broke the scoop that Pattinson would be out of either the Dune role or his gig in Bel Ami, the sordid tale of a playboy adapted from Guy de Maupaussant's novel. Naturally, Twi-hards rejoiced at the news that RPattz will keep the role in which he romances ladies left and right, rather than the one in which he puts his hand in a pain box and rides giant space sandworms. Will Dune fans agree?
Truth be told, Pattinson was never confirmed for the Dune cast but heavy speculation had him pegged to play the part of young Paul Atreides, the heir to a noble family in writer Herbert's space opera. The character was previously played by Kyle MacLachlan in David Lynch's »

Director Peter Berg has confirmed he is still planning a big-screen remake of Frank Herbert's classic 1965 novel Dune.
And there are rumours that Twilight star Robert Pattinson is in line for a role in the film which, it is speculated, is likely to be the lead character of Paul Atreides.
That role was played by Kyle MacLachlan in the 1984 film adaptation directed by David Lynch (and also starring Sting) and by Alec Newman in the 2000 Sci-Fi channel miniseries.
Hancock helmer Peter Berg became involved with the Dune project in March last year and it's still listed for a 2010 release, which now seems very unlikely as production has not yet started and no cast has been announced.
But Berg says the project is definitely still alive and says screenwriter Josh Zetumer - who is also penning the fourth Bourne film - has completed a first draft of the script.

Is Peter Berg's adaptation of the sci-fi classic "Dune" going to happen? Almost two years have passed since the director confirmed his involvement with the project, a potential third take on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel after David Lynch's '84 movie and a Sci Fi Channel miniseries in 2000. While a first draft of the script has been completed, we were starting to wonder if Berg's "Dune" was one of those tantalizing cinematic possibilities that just never became a big screen reality.
Not so, Berg told MTV News. "Dune" is very much on—and to prove it, the director shared some details about what he has planned.
"There's definitely a franchise potential," he said, though he hastened to add that he has to complete the first one successfully before he can set to work on a second.
But there's certainly enough material. Josh Zetumer's script, Berg revealed, is almost 200 pages long—"a massive epic, »

What's turning me on this week? Fetish. And fetish films. It's that time of year again. We bid farewell to summer and endless days of string bikinis and turn to a more serious time. It's time for school to start, time to check back in to our jobs, time to realize that our sex lives are totally boring, even though we're maintaining our tans. You've been there. Lying in bed with your partner, staring at the ceiling more-obviously-than-normal. Instead of moans and "Oh, God!"s, you're making mental grocery lists and trying not to fart. Sigh. Happy Labor Day. Here's a remedy: what better way to spend your day off than to talk about sick sexual shit? Just because your life must resume its wanker routine tomorrow doesn't mean that your sex life must. Work out your kinks by introducing a few. And where there's sex, there's movies. While I'm skipping fringe porn and documentaries like Sick: »
