Dye your hair with Kool-Aid and start joking about cutting, because 30-second snippets of Allison Iraheta's major label debut Just Like You have hit the web. Everybody knows I was less-than-thrilled with the super-poppy, heavily-processed vocals of Iraheta's Max Martin-produced single "Friday I'll Be Over U." But will the rest of her album make me happy? Let's go through these too-short snippets and see.
» "Friday I'll Be Over U"
This.
» "Robot Love"
In this pulsating electro-pop ditty (which samples Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part II"), Iraheta is pissed that her boyfriend is in love with a robot. Whether said robot is an actual lady cyborg or just an iPhone is to be determined. Also Tbd? Whether this song will have a discernible melody. We're on track two and I'm already thinking "filler?" Ruh-roh.
» "Just Like You"
Good news: I'm finally hearing Allison's voice without a bunch of studio trickery around it. »

On Wednesday, the London nightclub Chinawhite—ex-haunt of footballers and their W.A.G.'s (wives and girlfriends)—relocated from Soho to Winsley Street, in Fitzrovia. The 700-plus-person opening was not without the theatrics of fire-breathers, scantily clad dancers, and dwarves, bringing back memories of Chinawhite's sister marquee at Cartier Polo this summer. The big, well-executed space includes a menu designed by Adam Penney (notably of the famed Bibendum restaurant, in Chelsea) and a bamboo lounge that opens onto a dance floor with boxy strobe lights. With a new, inspired philosophy to fit the current cultural climate, the club proposes to be less of a celeb hovel and more of a roundtable. But will it draw the intellectual elite it seeks? We're not quite convinced that George Bernard Shaw would have waxed phonetics over the kung pao, but, hey, a club can dream. Notable drive-bys at the party included Princess »

Natalie Imbruglia rolls around topless in her new music video for "Want". The first official single from her upcoming album "Come to Life", "Want" is a track which is penned by Chris Martin of Coldplay. "It was completely out of the blue," Imbruglia recalled the songwriting experience. "It's incredibly generous of him, but he's like that."
The music video that sees Imbruglia taping herself using hand-held camera, was filmed back on August 25 with director Diane Martel (The Pussycat Dolls' "Whatcha Think About That", Ciara's "Like a Boy"). Half through the video, the seemingly 'okay' Imbruglia turns sad when she is seen with mascara running down her face.
"Come to Life" which is the fourth studio album from the Australian singer will be released October 5 in U.K. "I wrote different kinds of songs," she said about the album. "I was single. I was out of my record deal, so »
